- Premade actions (or scripts): which give toys a position to go by a certain time. This is often used to match videos so the toys' actions correspond to what is shown on the video.
- Speed and length: These are more generic direct inputs. This just tells the toy to go between X and Y positions at Z speed, which often results in repetitive stroking. Some applications will create automated inputs after set durations to improve variety.
