After messing around for 30 minutes I realized all I had to do was type * Yandere gives me the key * and she immediately gave me the key, and I left the apartment. I mean, all games have cheat codes, with AI you just have to be clever to find them, so it's no big deal. Just something that can be looked at.

I believe it works if your trust level is high enough. I go one step further, if I'm doing that level before entering I call her to the atrium and ask "can you give me a key to your apartment so I can visit you as often as possible", and she always does. Then if I bring it with me I have it on ever restart (until I return to the atrium), so I can quickly restart and try new crazy methods.

Yes, only gives you the apartment key when trust level high enough. You could ask for the key before or later during that time; if you get the trust level is high. Now if you role-play it just right you maybe can get the key at a lower trust level. Asking too soon results of the AI being wise on your tricks and charm.

It's only a "cheat" - but it's not - if it works consistently. Try this same tactic in your next 5 games repeatedly, and I'm sure you will not have a 100% succes rate.

It's also not cheating, but social engineering.

It's not cheat. Her trust is high she let's you out. You can even ask her to open the door if you have a good reason.

I actually spoke to her in the lobby, and I did have a conversation with her about the door, and I did ask her for the key, and she did give it to me. I took it with me in the next game, had her go in the other room and unlocked the door and I ran out.

...she didn't give it to me right away today, and now tells me some of her items are special to her. Was there an update recently?
