Game broke in the wine cellar puzzle

So this was annoying. I went down to the cellar with my new ring, cleverly got the solution from the wall beforehand, opened the puzzle, played around with the racks and rows until i had those bottles activated according to the sequence, but then: nothing.
No door opened, and i couldn't exit the puzzle either. After wildly changing the positions of the bottles, becasue that was the only thing left for me to do, I ended up ALT+F4-ing the game.
When I re-entered from the save, the puzzle was gone (i.e. inaccessible), the ring was gone and the ghost of Fleur was gone. No secret door unlocked, of course.
I ran around a bit the map, obviously, but this save file seems broken.
Not sure I'll restart a new one.
Did this happen to anyone else?

I haven't heard back from them either. Restarted a second game; this time I couldn't even access the labyrinth (no change in dialogue from the little indian girl). So yeah, this game has issues

Said it wasn't "fixable" and he offered me another game, I replied and have never heard back... no new game etc...

I see. I didn't bother to try the contact, so I wouldn't know. For me, a game that broke twice has to be a lot more fascinating than this one is to justify trying for such a step.
Still, in writing a review, I think one should consider the reader who doesn't need to know the specifics of a breaking point if he (or she) is in two minds about acquiring the game. Shouldn't it be sufficient to say that it has several?

Yeah, my hope was that I'd be able to send a replacement save file but we learned that there are a number of technical limitations preventing that. Apologies for the inconvenience, folks.
