Guide
Does some form of guide for this game exist? At least collectibles behind invisible walls?

I used the map from this website when I attempt to complete the game: https://kb.speeddemosarchive.com/Rex_Rocket/additional_resources . However fair warning, it is impossible to get all the ammo expansion for the achievement due to a programming bug, and this map is not 100% complete but this is the best we got as not much people play this amazing game.

You just can't finish 1 of the achievement. But that shouldn't take away from the experience as it is so minor.

Check the map. Books are highlighted in White dots. It should be behind a breakable wall.

Thanks. Last thing. Do you know which health upgrade doesnt count?

All 40 of the health upgrade counts towards the achievement. "Fully Loaded" is the only achievement that doesn't work which involves ammo upgrades.

There aren't any guides because this game is a shamelessly cruel, random, poorly mapped, bullet hell-loving teasing pile of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥!

I replayed this game multiple times, and I have severely different experience from you. This game is indeed hard, fairness depends on if you go after the upgrades or using a controller, map layout makes sense and littered with secrets, and the game is definitely not random (everything has a pattern, even bosses.) I had fun with this game every time I go back to it, the only complaint is the final boss as it requires you to mash the shoot button as it has 2 large health bars, and no NG+. It's not for everyone, it is a bit of a bullet hell, but everything could be dodged/avoided if you know what to do or use the correct sub-weapons, and the game really is not that cruel as you get infinite continues even if you lose all your lives, and that just puts you back to the beginning of the room, if I remember correctly. You're entitled to your opinions however, but this is my side of the argument.
