Thames Tunnel Achievement Troubles

Has anyone done this achievement? I had to add a second tunnel at around 200 delivered or I would lose the game (a station opened up on either side of the box bend in london). As soon as I could delete the second tunnel I did at around 500 people. At 900 people with only one tunnel I didn't get the achievement. Does this achievement just require chance that you don't *have to* put a second tunnel in while stations are popping up? Or is there a way to custom route a track around the box bend?

I think you just have to be lucky enough to not have to make a second tunnel in your playthrough. Once you construct another tunnel after the first, the achievement gets invalidated for that particular game, even if you delete it after. But I think that after a couple tries you should get a playthrough with station spawns lucky enough to be able to pull that off.

I got this achievement earlier today. For my play through I only ever had one tunnel. During parts of the game where I couldn't connect everything using only one tunnel I swapped the track back and forth manually as the trains went by. You don't have to wait for a track with a tunnel to be destroyed completely before laying a new one with a tunnel. Once there were enough cities it became easier to lay track to connect things that didn't require tunnels and went around the water so my one tunnel could be used only where there was no other choice.

i got all in 3 hours- need moooore D:

i have using only one tunnel at the same time. Befor i create an other i rebuild my first tunnel.

I did it in one try as well, never even moved the tunnel. I Just made a short dedicated line to moving passengers from the south side to the north side and eventually upgraded the south side station to hold more passengers (that might have been after 900 though).
