How to remove/move an interchange?
After adding an interchange... is there any way to move it? To get it back into your inventory and put it somwhere else.

Currently it seems to be the only "fixed"/unchangable upgrade once placed.

Nope.

Yeah, once they're on they're on for good. It's the only upgrade that is permanant like this, for balance reasons - if not, you could move it around to whichever station was overloading at the time, or move it along a line to get the benefits of instant loading and unloading every time a train stopped.

Just saying, it also might be nice to explain what the items do in the tutorial.

What if you were only allowed to move interchanges once a week? Like, after you're allowed to choose what upgrade you want—or even trickier, before you learn what upgrades you get—the screen shows you where your current interchanges are, and asks you if you'd like to move any of them? You could further limit this by allowing only up to half of the interchanges to be moved.

Put a countdown timer on the move order maybe, similar to the only move when empty limit for other stuff.

Meh, I feel this would just overcomplicate things. Too much control confuses the player.

That's part of the reason why I suggested limiting it to the upgrades screen. It's a simple yes/no question, and if they're happy with what they've got they can just skip it.

If it's the "up to half"-thing that could be confusing, we can simplify it even further: "You may move *one* interchange. Would you like to do so?"

I can't agree that interchanges would be imbalanced if movable:

Since I can pick up and move an empty locomotive to empty that station on a whim already. I don't think I've ever had a game over scenario because 1 station was overwhelmed. It's always been because many stations became a problem simultaneously.

Movable interchanges would only serve to allow more control over the moments when you need to pause to renegotiate an entire line, sometimes shifting it's hub.

Can you add a Undo function?

Please, do consider adding removal possibility with a cooldown. I just played about 4 hours at this time, but interchange are the only thing which seems complicated to use to me. Having its effect both undetailed AND not-undoable is sad :|

The interchange is the most powerful upgrade in the whole game; It's almost an extra-life when you get close to losing. Keeping it permanent is obviously the only right balance.

I think it makes sense to have moving the interchange as a rare thing, but a thing nonetheless.

For example, make it a potential end-of-week choice, but not one that's guaranteed to appear

Maybe let us move them once a week. Something to let us change the placement as the map evolves anyway.

I like the idea of having "relocate an interchange" being an additional weekly upgrade option. The fact of the matter is that sometimes you have to redesign your layout half way through your game. Interchanges being permanent is therefore very limiting in terms of ongoing redevelopment. You become stuck building your network around that interchange.

Tieing it to the upgrade screen also respresents a significant choice. Late game, you are giving up either a set of tunnels/bridges, or a carriage, in order to relocate something you already have. There are times where it's worth it, and times where it's not.

Make sure your Yogurt Gun is set to 'Custard' before you attempt to move ANY interchanges! I cannot stress this enough. THEN, and only then can you move one.

Toggle your screen view to 'Hobbled Horse', so it is wobbling at a syncopated rate. On the second 'clop' of the screen shake, aim your Yougurt Gun at Uncle Pablo's spleen. If you get a direct hit, Uncle Pablo will let out a boisterous laugh and present you with a plate of assorted danishes. Select the cheese danish, and set it to 'turbo mode'.

Then, select the interchange you wish to move, and tell it where to go. When it says 'no', place your danish on top of it. Now you can move your interchange freely.
