Deliver 1600 passengers achievement

I did the basic achievements (deliver 200-300-400 passengers etc without restrictions). I am working towards the other achievements now. But what does it mean for instance

Square Times
Deliver 1600 passengers in New York City with square stations on no more than two lines.

Do I need to reach 1600 passengers while using square stations on no more than two lines, or throughout the whole 'game', from 0 passengers till 1600, I am not allowed to put square stations on no more than 2 lines?

To say it simple: can I reach 1599 passengers the way I want, stop the game, redesign the whole metro and put square stations on only two lines, resume, and get the achievement?

It is really hard even without following that restriction....

i have a question to this achievment in new york.

Can i change the lines from Square to Square or i must use 2 colors for all ?

Can i have 1 square with Red & Green and another Square with blue and Yellow ?
Or need both Squares red & Green ?

Some screens or xp with this ?

Argh I wished we hadn't shipped with this achievement, I thought I worded it the best way possible but I don't think there is any clear way to say it! :)

All the square stations in the entire map can only be connected by two lines. So if there is a square on the red line, and two squares on the purple line, then no other lines can have a square station connected to it.

To look at it from the other way: of all your available lines, only two of them can be connected to square stations.

Maybe say "Deliver 1600 passengers in New York with only two lines touching square stations"?

Pro tip, only connect one line to a square station and reserve the second line for your relief lines to ferry square passengers over. Of all the score achivements I felt this was one of the easier ones.

Doh, now I see. And I had at max. two lines of different colours going through different squares... finally reaching 1600... :(

Perhaps, square stations can only be conected to two lines throughout the game until you reach 1600 passengers.

P.S The game is amazing by the way! Any future updates in store? Or perhaps a sequel? :D

really wish i had read this first
got to 1600 passengers with each of my square stations having only 2 lines each the entire game.
now i learn that "out of all of my lines, only 2 can connect to squares".

Yeah. I just had that happen to me too. The wording is a bit misleading...

I built this map, and couldn't work out why the achievement didn't unlock, as none of my square stations had more than 2 lines connected to them:

Figuring out how to word this achievement is its own logical puzzle. "Deliver 1600 passengers in New York, while ensuring all square stations are connected to a maximum of the exact same two lines across the entire map." that's the best i got right now.
