Game crashing: error code 0x887a0006

I have 7900 XT and game just randomly crashes within like 15 minutes of the game. The code 0x887a0006

Mate, I've tried every possible solution that appears on the internet and nothing has worked for me. My only hope is that with the new update wich has been announced recently, the problem will be fixed.
Meanwhile I've been playing on my laptop. It has a much less powerful GPU and I have to put minimum settings but there's no crash on it so at least I can play a complete game.

thanks, i have done that and it works sometimes, but for some reason other times it keeps crashing

Yea, it still crashes (in my case not as often now). Try setting shadows to medium too, and turn off ray tracing just in case if you have it on - might help even more.

Another thing you can do is to find optimal settings by setting everything to low and increase 1 by 1 to see how it goes till you find the right spot, but if you crash even on low and often, then not much I can help there / support was a waste of time. Take care

Help Please

i change a couple display settings in nba 2k25 and now my computer cant even open 2k without it crashing (error code 0x887a0006). is there any was for me to change settings or reset the settings from inside steam? ive tried deleting and reinstalling it but didnt work, anyone have any ideas please?

Had the same issue before but then a new NVIDIA driver update came out and once I updated it seemed to fix the problem and so I kept playing with no issues for about a month or two and this issue seems to be happening again, crashing every time I play a game after about 1~2 mins of gameplay... I've tried everything but nothing seems to solve it... I think it might have something to do with a windows update maybe? But can't be bothered to waste more time on this.. just gonna wait for the next nvidia update..
