How do you control the player who is posting up?

During a regular game, how do you take control of the player who is posting up?

I want to hold down LT and control the post up player before the pass comes in.

Can you only do this in Starting 5 mode?

Look for the off ball control setting. You could do this in previous versions, but I haven't tried in this one and do not play much. If off ball control is present, it will be in the settings and/or tutorial.

I really don't see anyway to do this, there is very little about it online and nothing in the tutorials.

Some google search suggested tapping RB, but as far as I can see that just allows you to pass to a specific player.

You can hold triangle and circle to get some leading before the pass but I still don't understand the mechanic.

I don't really see a way to take control of any off-ball player in general.
