My controllers are not being recognized by the game

My controllers are not being recognized by the game, numbers appear instead of the controller's glyphs, I tired with 2 difIferent ps4 controllers and an xbox one crontroller and same issue. Every other game that I know has no issues with my controllers and everything works just fine even with previous nba 2Ks

Also, I sometimes have to change my settings in Big Picture Mode, as well. Another possibility is having an external device connected via USB. I have an external drive, and cd-drive that conflict with my controller, when plugged in. Whenever I have this issue, I have to redo all of my controller settings, in both places, the normal way, and with Big Picture Mode. I also have to go to my device manager to delete the added devices. It can be a pain, I know.
