Quarter length online/ other gripes

In the old 2k games, like 2k9 etc you were able to change the quarter length for online matches. I know you can change the quarter length when you play a friend, but when you play a random person online, I wish you could change the quarter length. 6 minute quarters are just not enough for me. I want 12 minute quarters so it’s more realistic. Also, I wish any team could play any team instead of this wierd tier system. I hate when I choose a team and the other player also chooses the same team and by accident since it’s a surprise. Then you cant back out. Like I don’t want to play the Lakers vs the Lakers, you know?
