will the EasyAntiCheat program still be there even after this game gos fully offline???
Ok so im hoping that once this game gets taken off online, will the EasyAntiCheat still be there? Its causing me all kinds of issues with this game. I like to use cheat engine only because i like to play my games a bit slower OFFLINE. I should have that right to play my game the way that i want to play it. That easycheat program is stooping me from using my cheat engine

you should just play an older 2K that won't even have anti-cheat

Bro trust me i have been thinking of going back to 2k23. but the beauty of this game is that they have a 2k share with retro teams. Whats what i need as well. 2k is so wrong for patching this game so much.

Wouldn't choosing the second option when starting the game accomplish this? That's the offline version of the game.

This is a technical issue i am having. Involving the use of older EXE files. Can you help me with that?

There is a issue when i am playing the game (offline) where when i pass the ball, the ball comes back to my players hands. Its a nasty glitch where i cant pass the ball. I looked up why this can possibly happen, and it seems to be connected to the anti-cheat program. Even if its turned off supposedly, i think it still can interfere

This happens to me because i am trying to use older EXE files so i can play the game with the older gameplay before the PATCHES. The patches killed our offline gameplay. Im trying to hold to my game.

If you need to change your selection -- In Steam, go to Library > Right click on “NBA 2K25” > Properties > General > Launch Options...
It sounds like you need to be using that second option. The patches are likely required to play the EAC version so if you're trying to use pre-patch versions with the first version then you may be breaking ToS.

Also, because you keep making a point to say "offline", which mode(s) are you playing?

I'm as simple as it gets when it comes to this game bro. All i play is "PLAY NOW".....For now all i play is Play now, because all i am doing with NBA 2k25 is testing it. Once 2k patches the game, us offline players have to try and reboot. we have to find a way of playing the game all over again. Once we have a understanding of the game and how its played, 2k always seems to mess things up by touching the gameplay coding again with patches. You can feel the difference immediately. I never play online EVER.

This is why im back now. Because my hope is, that it is now the end of the season, and hopefully 2k is done patching this dame game. I fell in love with this game for the first two months. I was using the old files/EXE just fine before 2k added in that anti-cheat program. The game thinks im cheating when i put those files in. God i cant get a break. But i keep trying because i love the original game so much

Does this make sense to you????

If you're using Play Now only and using the non-EAC version is still causing issues, it must be intentional that it be played with the patched version to satisfy the Terms of Service.

Please understand, when i tell you that the patched version (offline) is a Horrible version of the game. For the offline experience, its no good man. Please trust me when i tell you this. I have always been an offline NBA 2k player, and i promise you the game gets terrible as far as movement, timing, and its way to easy now. Please look at my history with the games i play on steam? There is no challenge anymore. 2k continues to link online issues onto offline, when offline never ever really had gameplay issues. Instead of 2k just separating us, they link us together. THEY HAVE TO SEPARATE US!!! WE NEVER HAD COMPLAINTS!!!! WE JUST WANT TO PLAY THE GAME AND BE LEFT ALONE!!! Ever year the same thing, which was fine because i was always smart enough to grab files that i needed from the beginning and hold onto them just in case they patched the game. This new Anti-cheat stopped that for me. Im not a cheat bro.

And yes, i hate sliders. Sliders never really feel like the game i experienced when i first got it. But im a very small voice. A voice who NEVER bought anything from 2k. NEVER BOUGHT ANY VC!!!! I'm just a normal NBA fan who just plays the game for and NBA experience. Something 2k just lost. Even though they have the NBA title in their game

sorry for this rant. I just love this game and hate it at the same time. Just frustrating

thank you

Technically, you're cheating the system and breaking ToS from the looks of it. I understand the reasons behind your opinion but it doesn't make it right.

Bro are you kidding me? That should be illegal what 2k does here. Understand that this game changes into another totally different game, which is crazy because that's not the game that we paid money for. I WANT THE GAME THAT I PAID FOR!!!! That is why i keep those files and i have every right to. This is also the real reason why this franchise is dying and people cant see that.

When they patch the gameplay, that game is now a different, game. EVEN IF ITS A SMALL CHANGE!!!! Its not the game we paid for. Steam should also make that a reason that we should get our money back. PATCHES ARE FINE for fixing weird things, like things disappearing or glitches in the menu, but when you touch the gameplay, that's a no no.

OR, they should give us a option to revert back to the original default day 1 gameplay in the settings options. And it should only be for offline purposes. How can you not agree with this?
