Can't start a My Eras mode.

Title, basically. I can get through the setup, but once I select my team, the game just crashes.

I tried lowering all the video settings, but it didn't help. Is this a known issue? Any ideas how to fix it? I've got a decent but not elite gaming PC, it's never had trouble with anything else.

You dont have any third party applications on that EAC would flag do you? Launch game with EAC disabled and test it

You dont have any third party applications on that EAC would flag do you? Launch game with EAC disabled and test it

Just tried it, same result. I get about five seconds into the transition animation after picking which teams you're gonna control, then the whole thing dies.

Hmm idk then try verifying game files maybe something is corrupt

Tried that and it didn't help, but I did learn from tinkering that it seems to be specific to the older eras. I was able to load a roster and start for the current era no problem, but I tried three different roster files for the Bird/Magic era and it died every time... someone smarter than me might be able to deduce something from that, but I'm not someone smarter than me.
