This is about MyNBA as that has what was MyLeague and MyGM.
I think so. I usually only play offline as well but went "all in" this year partially for my own research purposes and partially to get a good understanding of what players engage with. For offline, the update to rosters, graphics, animations and other improvements are probably going to be well received by you.
Honestly, the only negatives I have for the game are everything to do with how they actually manipulate the player with all online only things. It's far more nefarious than simply offering micro transactions but actually having an auction house that is run by very aggressive algorithms that will inflate the cost of items one sees based on how much they have spent in game. My guess is they also "dynamically" alter how players perform with their cards based on if that will increase or decrease the probability of trading them out for other cards. The list could go on but they aren't even applicable to you!
I will say that the career mode online is actually really fun and fleshed out. It is a shame the studio has been allowed to keep everything players spend on the game 100% behind online doors which makes it all worthless when they shut servers down every few years. I am actually trying to get access to some people in their team who influence these decisions because everything should be transferred to the offline modes when servers go down. It's quite egregious to think this has been allowed to go on for so long. Whether people earn everything they grind for or pay for it or both, it shouldn't just disappear.
The dynasty mode (whatever it is called) seems to be alright. I haven't played a ton of it, but you can load in classic rosters. People have complete rosters for download and complete draft classes for basically all the years, so you could start in 91 if you want (or whatever year), which is a feature I have been wanting for decades.
I don't play the MyPlayer, so have no clue about it, but you have to be online for it to work.
Back when I was kid I had fun with NBA live 2003.
To clear this up, is it possible to have a offline career in a coach like position 100% offline with no micro transaction scheme or other scam ? And did the devs finally made the PC version current gen ?
I tried a NBA 2K game a few years ago. The graphics were so shockingly out-dated I asked a refund for the first time ever on Steam.
