Never bought a NBA2K game before, is this game worth it 70% off?

I've never really been into Basketball but I got to try NBA 2K23 for free on PS Plus like a year ago and I had fun and it grew on me a little. I'm mainly a franchise mode type of player and I've played lots of NHL and Madden throughout the years. I also like the myplayer mode a bit but I despise ultimate team and the transaction type of modes.

Also yeah I've heard there are cheaters on this pc version but I'm mainly just a singleplayer type of player anyways.

Is this series similar to the Maddens whereas they don't add anything but cosmetics and ultimate team type of stuff or is NBA 2K25 actually worth it and should I get it?

this might be the only time worth it. mynba mode is the only good mode stay away from the city and myteam. plus they finally got next gen so yes this is worth it on sale.

It's really nice game, you'll read angry / p*ssed off reviews cause some players buy it every year full price. If it's your first one, and on sales, that's a YES.

Better than all previous years, but not worth $70 imo. Very few games are worth $70.

The rosters updates super fast, they literally had Luka on the Lakers within a day of the trade.

To Chill Bill you're 100% correct, I would never purchase NBA2K at full price but I wanted to know what NBA2K players and vets thought before I decide to buy it. I mainly stick to franchise and LOVE rebuilding bad teams in franchise mode, that's what got me hooked to Madden and made me purchase that full price on console regrettably.

To kray28 that's nice to hear, NHL rosters don't update at all and Madden rosters upgrade every 2 weeks if you're lucky and only if you do online franchise mode.
