game no longer works on steam deck

i get a notification saying that EAC anti cheat is not availible. I have updated the game, restarted and updated the steam deck, and the only thing i can play is WNBA. No myplayer or MyTeam offline.

Same here. Might be a 2k thing and nothing we can do but wait until they fix it. :(

Same. Looks like an EAC issue according to the error message. Haven't tried different proton versions or other troubleshooting beyond just rebooting. Par for the course with me and technology lately, already had a graphics card die on me this week. Kind of annoyed right now.

I tried switching to Experimental but no luck. Haven't done anything else beyond that. Just gonna wait until 2k fixes it, assuming they do.

I already lost 40% battery trying to fix the damn game I'm just gonna go do something else instead lol

Tried Proton Experimental & Hotfix. No go. Looks like some check for EAC on the 2K side is failing, despite EAC installing/running.

i finished right now to donwload the patch 5.0 again nothing work the game crashing at the launch. what we have to do?

Seems like a similar thing happened during the Season 4 patch back in December. Looks like it's just a waiting game for now unfortunately.

Well glad to know I'm not the only one. I even un-installed and reinstalled the game and unfortunately got the same issue.

Please fully restart your Steam Deck and try again now. Let me know if you are able to enter the game normally.
