CRASHING ON TRANSITION SCREEN

Specifically the part where it shows the nba text then it stops working but audio is still there anybody know why? it wasnt happening in the earlier versions of the game, it happens on quarter ends and half endings a lil random

it's happening to many, I'm re-evaluating 2K, they seemed capable and good, but after topspin I also have problems with nba, never had problems with games on the pc.

That's what im saying i feel like my pc is more than enough for it to not crash you think its cz of the recent patch 1.4?

I don't know but it's really frustrating, yesterday I almost couldn't finish a game, or it crashes at the end of a quarter (random) or at the end of games, or at the beginning of games, basically every time there could be a loading, I sent a ticket to 2K, you should do the same, because it's ridiculous that a game has these problems in 2024, with €70 spent.

it prolly has sum to do w the cinematic where it shows the audience outside the stadium cz we got the same bug and i did send a ticket about 10 hours ago so far no response yet

2k support actually reached out to me but i still dont know if it worked since it was crashing for me specifically in playoffs but lmk if it works, they told me to go on play now (where you pick teams) exactly that and sit on it for 2 mins don't press play and it should show your game has updated and apparently that's the "fix"

They told me this too, the update appeared to me while I was in town, I went to the menu and I think it did it, at the moment I've only played in town, today I'll start the NBA season, let's see if it's true.

I got an update basically im on my 2nd MC season and 2nd time around playoffs and it still does the same thing idek anymore

so, after the update I had finished the season, so I did missions in the city and it never got stuck, today that I started the second season, when I go along the road that leads to the camp, the loading starts with the famous "25" and it gets stuck -.- I haven't even started the game.

Mines been broken for like 2 weeks. Any online mode just crashes on the loading splash screen, play now offline works fine…

Anyone got any update on any of this? Still waiting for an update to fix but without any word from 2k about known issues or a fix in the works it’s getting worrying.

I have the same problem but at first the crashes only happens every time I try to play heart dynasty quest. Now even when just tryna load my career the game crashes instantly with no code or whatsoever. Please send fix here if ever u guys find one.

I received an email from 2k where they asked me to do a lotta bs which does not correlate to the problem i had at that time but i still did it regardless, to no surprise it aint work and they ended up basically telling me there's nun they coulda done.


What i would say is tho, make sure u have it on ssd or nvme it helped a lot with stuttering especially in the city and make sure to free up your ram if you only have 16gb since this game eats ram.


Main thing that worked for me at least is when i used ddu to reset everything software related to my gpu most importantly the cache folder. I think the game has issues storing cache properly which could cause the game to crash. I transferred my gpu software and cache destination to my nvme, so far no crashes yet ever since i posted this.

Hey, a bit late to this discussion but I've found a fix! Whenever 2k updates their game it seems to add a lot of cache and other useless things to your drive, so what you wanna do to make it work again is free up at least 40 GB and clear all of you cache (here is a video on how to clear your drivers cache https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yoQRe5z8Kk ). And if that did not work you can also try doing what the first reply says on this post on reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/ROGAllyX/comments/1fb3e83/nba_2k25_keeps_crashing/ . These both solved it for me.

It's using up all my CPU on the loading screens even through I'm at like 60% on the menus. Can't even load into a game because of this.
