Depends on which mode you're talking about, you can play myNBA eras offline but myCareer and myTeam are online.

Zeokage is correct. NBA2K titles have the option of OFFLINE modes and ONLINE modes. Keep in mind, if you are attempting to play when not connected to any type of internet (Wired/Wifi) that's not going to work. I may be incorrect, but doubt it will.

Well, I am only interested in myCareer in which they add all the monetization and gambling (sadly).

That mode was always online only.

@Zeokage and I statements are INCORRECT. NBA2K titles have the option of OFFLINE modes and ONLINE modes. However, it will work on NBA2K25 if you TURN off ONLINE services in STEAM BIG PICTURE mode. From STEAM BIG PICTURE mode got to SETTINGS -> INTERNET -> ENTER OFFLINE MODE and start the game. Works on NBA2K24 & NBA2K25 / confirmed on Windows PC and Steam Deck for both as of today's date.

I think you're missing some information to say I'm incorrect. When you're offline, are there modes you can't enter such as MyCareer and MyTeam?

So my statements were correct. I specified the previous games as a whole weren't online only and after it became clear that it was solely about MyCareer, I stated that the mode has only been online only since NBA 2K20.

None of your statements were wrong either in context, you just didn't specify the status of MyCareer.
