Horrendous performance on PC
The game performs terribly on PC since yesterday. EXTREMELY laggy, even in the Menus. Games are unplayable. If I change the graphic-settings and restart the game, they are always set back to what they were prior to changing them. Its abbysmal

It's because the game has a memory leak on PC. They just will tell you send a ticket to 2K support.

Open task manager and take a screencap of your ram usage when you launch the game. Then compare your ram usage when the performance gets really slow.

You'll notice that when the performance starts to tank 2k25 will be using all your system ram

Thanks for your reply, i have read about people experiencing this after a couple of games, not right from the start. And it hasnt been an issue before yesterday. The game ran fine till then.

Is there a fix or workaround you know of?

I have just opened the game with the taskmanager on my 2nd screen. The memory Leak is NOT the issue. Both CPU and Ram work around 40 percent load, yet the game is heavily lagging in the menus already

if you are using Nvidia GPU, you may disable the Nvidia High Definition Audio, and NVidia Virtual Audio Device under your "Device Manager". Only do this if you are not using the audio from NVIDIA GPU. it will improve your fps as well as the smoothness of all the games you play, as per my experience. As per my research there is a audio conflict or issue of some sort from Nvidia if you are using other audio sources. I have a separate Audio Interface, so i can just disable this devices.

For whatever reason this seems to fix it

I know right, according to my research, it's an ongoing conflict or issue with the audio driver of Nvidia GPU and the info that I have gathered are from Reddit, and it was several years ago.:steamfacepalm: Good thing i gave it a try, since I am not using the audio. Glad that your gaming experience have improved. You may also try your other games and you will notice a significant improvement.

how do you clear up memory if alot is being used to play the game?

I tried everything and nothing helped. Today, I bought an additional 16GB of RAM, and the problem was solved. I now have 32GB of RAM. Memory is currently so cheap that there's no reason to hesitate about buying it. For me, this purchase completely solved the problem in NBA2k25.

After i issued a Ticket to 2k Support 3 days ago, they still havent replied or reacted to it at all. I have now filed a formal complaint to the EU-consumer protection to force them to react. Shame on this company
