Can't access any online feature. Game wont give me an option to sign in.

I bought and installed 2K25 last night, and since then have been immensely dissapointed. I have been unable to access ANY online feature of the game, because when I try, I am greeted with a pop up that says 'You must be online in order to play _____)

The problem is, I AM ONLINE! The 2K server status is up and running, and I see lots of other PC users playing the game. I don't know why mine won't let me.

I don't know if this is an issue with Steam, as I have had no response from 2K Support yet.

Is anyone else having this issue? It's frustrating me so much. I've spent all this money to play a game, and I literally can't.

Is anyone else having these issues? I've tried re-installing twice, also verified files a bunch of times, and nothing. Still the same loop of 'not being online' - clicking 'connect' - just to be told I am not online.

Nah bro, I don't even get that pop up at the start of the game asking me to sign in.

Sometimes it does this to me and there is usually a "connect" button on the same line as all of the other game modes at the main menu. Hitting that connects it for me. It is usually on the right side near the features button.

Yeah, whenever I go on that 'connect' section it tells me I need to be signed in, but then I hold 'X' to reconnect, and nothing. Takes me back to the seizure warning and puts me around in circles.

Oh I got one, same one I've used in all the other installments of 2K 😂 only this time I've encountered an issue.

having the same issue, have you been able to connect, i also have an account alreaedy connected between gmail steam and 2k... but it still doesnt let me connect, i hit connect it tries to then gives me the choose a difficulty screen the back to main menu loop

That's exactly whats happening to me mate. It's clearly an issue with the game.

Dev team needs to look into this..it affects alot of modes, I can't even load a save cause its not attached to any profiles. Not to mention the halftime show on PC being broken. I created a ticket on the 2k website, hopefully it gets addressed.

I was having the same issue and found that Steam had opened in offline mode, unbeknownst to me and for no apparent reason. Had to click the steam icon in the top left and then click on 'Go Online', was then able to re-sync 2k successfully.

My steam is online, trying to force it to offline and online make no difference, still get the connect screen, to main menu loop.

i finally solved the issue by uninstalling Steam itself and reinstalling it, then reverifying NBA2k25 files, after that i loaded up the game and it gave me the initial setup, where you put in your email address and then start creating your player/career

Just happened to me a few minutes ago, couldn't connect, restarted game and still no go, rebooted PC and now works. Odd occurrence.
