Best way to confirm is to open the game while offline. It should not be possible, though. Anything that is connected to VC should become inaccessible.

Every Game Mode that requires VC is bound to Online Play sadly

I disagree that it objectively becomes a useless game. Some modes will still be playable like MyNBA so those who have the courage to try that mode will be able to play past the server shutdown.

I wouldn't play this for free.

No dedicated offline mode, no wonder the only postive reviews for 2K is for Borderlands (some of them).

The W,PlayNow,MyLeague,Blackout,MYGM what more do you what? You can make your own progress in MYLeague by adding your own Player like its MyCareer by setting yourself Milestones. Yall crying so much when the game is already giving you that much for offline gameplay lol. And if you know the Game Modes YOU wanna play are online only why even come in the forum to complain about it when this has been the case for like 6+ years

Actually i just want to play my career in this game that's it, i don't have to much time to play so i want to be sure that i can play in a few years , the last 2k i played was 2k17 and you can't have acces to all animations etc... offline

Yeah that's true, I didn't think about it that way. I remember a few years back, jumping into career mode, enjoying it, then getting mad when I found out it was online only, same for the player build menus too. It really sucks its locked to online. i think only city should be online; for obvious reasons of course.
