Frame drop issue
Whenever I load into a park/rec game my FPS drops so low that the game is almost unplayable and I do not have this problem on any other game mode. I've looked online and used the VSync in the NVIDIA control panel and I still have this problem, any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Potential Stuttering Fix in Online Games PATCH 2.0
I was troubleshooting this since the release, and I might have found something.

My Specs
  • CPU: i5-4590 3.30 GHz
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 1080 8 GB
  • RAM: 16 GB DDR3

Game Install Destination
MAKE SURE TO INSTALL ON SSD

NVIDIA Control Panel
These are my settings:
  • Low Latency Mode: Ultra
  • Max Frame Rate: 75 FPS
  • Power Management Mode: Pref. Max Perf.
  • Preferred Refresh Rate: Highest Available
  • Texture Filtering - Anisotropic sample optimization: On
  • Texture Filtering - Quality: High Performance
  • Texture Filtering - Trilinear optimization: On
  • Threaded Optimization: On
  • Vertical Sync: On
  • Virtual Reality pre-rendered frames: 2

In-Game Visual Settings
Resolution: 2560x1080
Window Mode: Full Screen Windowed
Res. Scaling: NONE
Vertical Sync: ON
I got everything on low. It makes a game look a bit worse, but it's not that big of a deal.

Monitor Refresh Rate
I got my monitor set on 60 Hz

When you open the game, go to MyCourt (or any court, I do it there because I go to warm up there before playing) and check in Task Manager if you have GameBar running, If you do, right click on GameBar and end task.

As we all know, 2K capped online game modes to 60 FPS, that's why I set my monitor to 60 Hz, but I noticed that if you set Max FPS in NVIDIA Control Panel to 60, for me the frames dip to 45-55 constantly.
I tired to cap it to 75 FPS in NVIDIA and the frames stay to 60 most of the time, with occasional dips to 58-59 after a made shot.

After these tweaks I played a Theater game and the game ran smoothly with no stutters, which I couldn't get in my prior 170+ hours of playing time.
There still is a bit of lag but that's 2K servers which we can't do nothing about.

Again, this seems to work for me, I will update the post after I've played a bit more.

Hope this will help someone, since the PC community gets 0 attention from 2K :)

ps. Still 2k servers are the worst.

NBA 2K25 STUTTERING
Does your game always stutter and lags? I've been playing for 2 days and been experiencing this. I really want to play the game but it just stutters and keeps getting blurry. Please help me fix issue, thank you.

running smoother now?

offline with these settings game runs great. Online 5v5 still can't play, only in some courts it seems i have no lag and only in the king of the courts day. So i decided to play only myteam park,it was ok for some days, but today not even this is possible, got disconnect errors all day. You still can play? I even have a little better card than yours (1660ti), this cpu probably isn't enough to run the game smooth enough online, i think i will try buy a used i7-4790K and overclock a little and see how that goes. This patch was a disaster.
