Missing Myplayer File ???

The screen went black and I restart the game. Myplayer build 1 is gone and that location is just empty. Just bought 150k vc and purchase on ability LOL.

If you want to have a “MyPlayer” type experience. You can rebuild your player in MyNBA and lock your controls to that player. Set everything on auto and go for it. The only thing you’ll be missing are the MyCareer story beats and obviously the ability to play it online.

I’d say maybe mid October they’d be able to start restoring builds. They have your build on their servers. So keep pestering until they can do it.

I don't really have this issue but just curious, how can you lock your controls to one player in MyNBA?

This literally just happened to me. I spent vc on this character just for it to go missing a couple days later. 2k how is this even possible

UPDATE FOR EVERYONE. AS OF 18 HOURS AGO. THE 2K SUPPORT TEAM ARE ABLE TO DO RESTORATIONS.

This answer is disingenuous because it relies of Steam keeping a backup of your data from before the data went missing, which they do not. Once data is altered in any way, the steam cloud overwrites it. Please un mark this as the answer.

My character got deleted 3 days ago and they said they wont recover builds under 65 overall. Went ahead like an idiot and created another built.

It just got disappeared again!

I asked for a refund but we'll see.

The answer would be contacting 2K support with as many details on your build as possible so that they can attempt to restore them. Which, they have the ability to now.

Or if you contacted them before, contact them again with the ticket number of the previous request for reference.

It does have the "contact Support" line on their page. I'm not quite understanding what the problem is.

2k25 WARNING

How many other peoples game crashed after walking into starting 5 on mycareer then their build deleted? I'm very frustrated because i invested money into it. It looks like 2k support won't do anything to fix the issue either, you their TOS is very predatory. I cant even access my older steam cloud saves but whats crazy is all my other saves show except MyCareer. This game is a scam and you'll eventually lose your myplayer. I don't buyimg until it goes on sale for 1$.

i waited 3 weeks to make a character in order to not waste money and then i had my myplayer deleted! here is the run down on what happened. i spent 50$ on my "myplayer" and had around 90k vc left over vc on from grinding and upgrading to an 85 ovr is now gone! my "myplayer" data somehow didnt save and its all gone! I opened a support ticket with 2k but last time they didnt get back to me for 4 days and since i just made my character, my gym rat badge or whatever its called this year will be impossible for me to get since you have to go work out for 4 days in a row and get at least 3 stars. If any one plays on a steam Deck BEWARE! Every time i sync my data it literally deletes whatever players i have and all VC from my account! I really hope they help us out guys. I didnt "accidentally delete" the save file, it literally just disappeared. And like “Scammedmybarber” said in his post, every other iCloud save file is there except the ones where my “myplayer” was saved. I find that extremely suspicious.

That being said, If 2k helps restore my character or the VC i will come and update this message! i am so bummed! all my friends are playing rn and of course this goes and happens. Devastated!!!
