I tried to buy 450k it didn't go through but then it let me buy 200k... So I tried to buy 200k again and it wouldn't let me a second time. Neither did it let me buy 75k 35k or 15k but it let me buy 5k twice? I guess I was at my daily cap? Although they say there is none
And yes I have more than enough in my Steam wallet. So it's not a bank issue as Steam already has the money from my bank in my Steam wallet. Steam just won't approve 2k to pull the credits from the wallet and is canceling the transaction every time. This is wild.
Update: Steam customer support just contacted me and the transaction went through. Definitely send in a ticket guys.
I'm having the exact problem as well. I bought 450k VC a couple days ago, and tried it again and it kept saying Transaction Canceled. Then I tried the 200k VC and it went through. I did the same thing you did and now it has canceled any other VC transactions. I don't get it bruh.
I pretty much bought all the dlc stuff before I got blocked from buying any more items from the VC store. And for this reason alone (and this is nothing but an assumption as I have no confirmation or proof from official sources either way), I'm assuming Transaction / VC limits might have been set by one of the parties, either regionally or on individual accounts.
I tried VPN's, tried logging in through residential IP addresses to try and make the purchases from both sides of the Atlantic, I tried every VISA certified money transfers available to me into the steam wallet, nothing worked.
After opening a tck with Steam Support, they are basically saying this is considered unusual activity and they reported, and I quote: "...our system has temporarily prevented your account from continuing to purchase items in this game. Please try again at a later time..."
(emphasis on the "temporary", so there's hope...)
Still waiting for an answer from 2k as well...
Time to enjoy the limbo I guess...back to the grind !!!
If someone knows what this is about, let us know, as there are a bunch more people on reddit complaining about the same issue.
