i press start in steam library, its saying running i dont even get a screen or a blip of the game

I had the same issue, and found a fix. It might be because of Denuvo. This helped me:

Try to reset your WiFi modem and that might fix it. It worked for me.

reset router. didn't work. i know for a fact we can all run this stupid game. i just watched a guy run it with a gtx1080ti... LOL

I 100% believe that it is the developers' problem because it is happening to many people and I have been trying to start the game since 10 am and nothing so I have to wait for a patch

not that you asked me, but i have a 2970wx threadripper 64gb ram rtx 3090 the game quite literally WILL NOT BOOT CTD every time for the past 15 minutes.

Oh at least I'm not the only one!!! I haven't find the solution yet but here is maybe some hints from the Event Viewer in case this would help the community
The exe is run in Task Manager but 2seconds after having a status of "Suspended", the game closes..

I figured out the problem at least for me. I have a i5-3570k and it doesnt support avx2. so my game doesnt launch. I am going to refund and wait for a patch.

How did you figure that out? Cause I have a i7-3770, I'm having the same issue

Edit:
got it... it's on the game specs in Steam. avx2 while our cpu 3rd gen supports avx (prolly 1)

Yep mine only supports avx1 and you need 2 to play.
