Imo if you put hundreds of hours in offline play you can go ahead
Next gen version means a lot of new things for myleague (more customization like tattoos, myeras etc.).

Serious question about games prices

I know it’s ‘next-gen’ and all, but seriously: Is anyone willing to pay $150 dollars for the premium edition of an annual sports game like this?

I don’t have anything to do with your life or your money, and I can’t stress that enough. I just find it very weird that a $150 digital game exists because there are probably people who pay for it. It’s either that or 2K thinks people are stupid or something else. I don’t understand.

It's called supply and demand based on a free market system. Many people feel $150.00 is too steep for a game and won't pay that much. Me included. Therefore they supply a standard edition to capitalize on that market share. However there are those who feel like the premium edition supplies what they want in this game and 2K supplies that demand as well.

I had to google about NBA league pass.

So if you buy that edition, you are also buying 1 year of NBA's League Pass that grants you the right to watch NBA (the real one) matches through their streaming service? Is that it?

If that is it, it's not as bad as I thought. I was only seeing the very steep price and didn't bother to read the small print. I guess it might be worth it if you are a fan of the sport afterall. Thanks for the answer.
