This just happened to me 4 times in less than 2 weeks. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled. I noticed that when I report a blatant cheater in game, my game starts to have strange slowdowns, and if I open a game menu it crashes back to desktop with a lot of slowness and the antivirus shows me the detection of a Trojan virus on the NBA 2K25 program and uninstalled it for me. I wonder if some cheaters don't have software that exploits security flaws at 2K and as soon as they are reported they spot the player who reports them and must manage to send them the virus or others directly to our IP addresses via 2K servers...
Just out of curiosity, what antivirus do you have? I'm asking because 2K support wants me to believe that it comes from my Kaspersky anti-virus, I would like to know if your anti-virus is other than Kaspersky to be able to report to support that other anti-viruses detect their application as a Trojan...
Sincerely.
kaspersky is not for free you got it for free ?
For me it's Kaspersky Premium, not free
Well, go ahead and enlighten us...
Sincerely.
