because the game literally transitioned to the next gen version of the game? lol
I almost want to download the 2k23 I have on steam to compare. I think the game looks fantastic but I don't notice the differences much and I'm into fidelity. Maybe I need to run on a 4k screen on my desktop. I'm on my blade 18 laptop and running ultra or highest settings available with ray tracing and DLAA on a 1600p screen at 120fps. I wonder if ray tracing actually just doesn't make the game look better with realistic lighting? Like if you go to practice mode it looks very dark and I'd say that's due to the ray traced realistic lighting. Maybe the baked lighting, though less real, looks better to my eyes? I dunno.

Again it looks great, but I don't remember the older titles looking much different

it literally is next gen.

No it's not? It's current gen. This gen has been out since 2020?

its moreso in the animation and feel

when I played 2k24, 23, 22, 21, etc they all felt the same

this game feels different...feels smoother, more natural

so basically animation and movement feel next gen, can't tell from screenshots or watching videos

Cool thanks for the reply, that makes sense. I think since I am not an enthusiast player that is why I didn't notice much differences. But I am glad to have the animations being smoother and I do like the new shot mechanics as it flows very naturally.

While I am definitely not a fan of grindy low reward gameplay and super expensive micro transactions which this game and EA are known for, it's hard to deny the sheer amount of content available to consumers. The eras and simulation is it's own game that many people likely just play for that. I personally like a lot of the sliders and tendencies that you can manipulate to get the experience you like.
