ppl complaining abt the island mode not being there as if that mode isnt just a garbage place designed to make you pay microtransactions and see company logos.

The game is good but not worth $100. Wait for sale.

get the game if you want to be up to date with the latest in everything WWE, but if gameplay matters to you then stick with the older games (its 2K24 with chain wrestling)

Overall, nothing special... fun if you found the previous ones fun.

But be WARNED! This is (For some dumb reason) the PS4 and XBOX ONE version of the game. So none of the newer stuff like "The Island" is not on this version. "Next" Gen stuff is only available on PS5 and XBOX SX.

Basic Information that should be given a little more obvious to potential buyers:

This game REQUIRES your CPU to be capable of AVX2 & F16C (processor unit instruction sets).
If your CPU is not capable of the former, you will be unable to play this game on PC for now.
F16C is old, so even if unlisted (it was for me), your CPU will probably still be capable of doing it.

For those, who have a CPU that should fit the bill but somehow are unable to play: fresh OS install did the trick for me.
For those, who get a crash playing MyRise: delete local save files (+ to be sure turn off Cloud Saves)

Game works on Steam Deck with the exclusion of MyRise (instantly crashes - for everyone AFAIK)

About the game:
+ 10/10 graphics overhaul, bruising etc. looks great and makes the game feel way more responsive

+ PAUL HEYMAN

+ 2K24 had a 10 times better Showcase BUT the Showcase Gameplay feels less forced and has drastically improved in terms of fun and feeling more like you can actually just wing it (focus on key elements or the outcome rather than re-enacting the actual fights)

+ Many small improvements that are hard to notice - animations, counters, fighting pace and the overall fluidity and feel to the fights & game are at least twice as good imo

+ MyRise feels less forced, more freedom to do things, a lot more fun

+ MyGM has more characters, more options, small improvements / adds to a more fun experience that offers more variety/replayability

+ No major or gamebreaking bugs during gameplay

+ You can counter a punch by pressing counter without perfect timing (or the button pop-up for that matter) - the animation that was always useless in 2K24 now actually evades attacks

+ MyFaction has more new nodes and offers a little more variety

- MyFaction is still the go-to grind your ass off waste of time - it's fun but still way too grindy and encourages micropurchases

- Steam Deck performance could be a little more stable / have less mini-stutters but overall it's playable and enjoyable

- No Island (don't care, never saw the trailer, won't watch it, so I'm way less annoyed about it than most people)


I'm not gonna say it's a great game.

However, it's a drastic improvement and Mixed reviews do NOT do the game justice - they just reflect how 2K treats their customers. People who love some sport or anything that reflects real life, there's a certain responsibility you have to try and bear as well as you can. With 2K it seems like they're starting to step forward but sometimes randomly step back 2-3 times. This game is definitely worth buying just for the singleplayer play time alone. I've bought games for 30 bucks that brought me like 5 hours of playtime and I was still somewhat satisfied. There's a lot of unhappiness and micropurchase hate going on as well, some bandwagoning and we don't seem to show any leeway towards these publishers, let alone the Devs who just follow order.

Overall, I'd buy it for it's gameplay alone - at least if you're the type to really enjoy wrestling games for the sake of them just being a product relating to something you enjoy or used to enjoy, like me - I don't watch anymore. I'd buy it at full price too, but not any Cashgrab Edition as it's completely unnecessary.

WWE 2K25 is a solid upgrade, even if it feels like PC players got the short straw again.

The good stuff?
Chain wrestling is back, and matches feel smoother. Intergender matches are finally in, and we’ve got cracking new match types like Underground and Bloodline Rules. MyGM mode’s now online too, so you can actually prove you’re better than your mates at running the show.

The daft bits:
PC version’s still stuck on the old-gen engine. No Island mode for us, either—just consoles. And microtransactions? All over the shop, especially in MyFACTION. Plus, no cross-platform for custom creations, and Universe Mode still feels like it needs a bit more oomph.

Compared to 2K24?
Big improvements, for sure. Presentation’s tighter, gameplay’s cleaner, and there’s more depth overall. Just wish they’d stop leaving PC players on the bench.

Bottom line:
If you’re a wrestling fan, it’s well worth a go. Not perfect, but a canny step forward—just keep your wallet locked when the microtransactions come swinging.

Solo the game and graphic performance is good. You can create and share content. Online it is a bit weak. gl hf :)

WWE 2K25 runs so much better than last year, and it surprised me. Whoever you hired to fix the online play deserves a raise.

Still not sure why The Island could not be included for the PC version.

I enjoy the game very much so far. It is quite different in fight mechanism, comparing to 2k24 honestly.
Casket, Ambulance, underground and World Tour are all good and it would be better if it could be easier in live event.
quick response and issue dealt from online support team is also a plus.

However, the card pack odd is very low and mean.
It makes you feel like they just turn the card drawing rate off.

If the MFP through lots of grinding can't work, then what is the point to buy VC?
If you now have a downward performance stock in hand and realize it is not going to bounce back, would you invest more money and time in it? Probably not

This game is damn good 5/5 from the bottom of my heart, but the card packs drawing is another story, if anyone sell you something you are not going to get and still promote it to you, will you buy it? The rest is for you to decide.
