CAW Crash & Live Update Problem

Hey everyone, I'm experiencing some serious issues with WWE 2K25, and I wanted to gather everything under one thread.

1-CAW (Create a Wrestler) Crash Issue:

Every time I try to enter a match using my custom wrestler (CAW), the game crashes.
I haven’t figured out the exact cause, but I’ve seen other players reporting similar issues.

2-Live Update Error:

When trying to install the Live Update, I get an in-game error message telling me to retry.
No matter how many times I try, the update won’t complete, and it’s preventing me from accessing some game modes.

I’m having the exact same issue and am waiting to hear back from 2K but nothing they have suggested has worked so far.

Hello everyone. I also had this issue and went back and forth with 2k for a few days going through various possible solutions to the issue. Yesterday 2K suggested I perform a System file checker followed by a clean boot. Despite this, the game still crashed upon using CAWs. However I deleted NBA 2K25 and launched steam using ‘Run as Admin’ and now WWE Live connects and my CAWs aren’t crashing the game anymore. Try launching steam with ‘Run as Admin’ and if that doesn’t work, try the system file checker and clean boot before launching steam the same way. Really hope this works for y’all. No idea if NBA 2K25 played a role in it, but you never know.

I reached out to 2K and followed all of their suggested troubleshooting steps, but unfortunately, none of them worked. In addition to their recommendations, I also tried several other possible solutions on my own, but I still couldn’t fix the issue. At this point, it seems like the only real solution is to wait for a new update that hopefully resolves the problem.

I also continued testing suggestions from other players. I tried @Fae’s recommendation to run Steam as an administrator, but unfortunately, that didn’t work either.

Dear friends, here's what worked for me. I've tried deleting previous game (wwe 2k24 with saves), I've tried to delete save files from documents, I've tried to run wwe 2k25 with no DLC's, run as administrator, changed graphic settings, BUT none of these worked.

And my account have no cyrillic letters. But here's the key - if you change your cyrillic account into "only english" - it doesn't work. You need to CREATE NEW ENGLISH ACCOUNT. And now everything is working for me.
