The game gets stuck on the start screen in an endless loading process.

Hey, the game won't let me play,

The game starts, but then gets stuck in the first screen in an endless loading screen, the CPU load increases to 100%, I let it run for 2 minutes to see if it might continue, but the result remained the same.

System AMD 7800x3d, AMD 7900 XT, 32 GB DDR5 RAM.
All drivers are up to date, also already tried to reinstall the game.

if it was a windows 11 issue these forums would be burried....some people just dont want to hear/accept that its something on their system on their end and most of the time they need to reinstall windows to fix whatever they broke.

the freezing feels a bit more random for me, sometimes when in the beginning screen and the other time i am deep playing in MYGM.

at the moment i got the some problem with 2k24 in two last 2 months. no other game have i seen the same response, like nba 2k25.

specs:

CPU - i5-8600K
motherboard - ASROCK 370Z
GPU - 1070TI
RAM - DR4 3000 - 16GB
SSD - 970 EVO Plus samsung

- temp were around the 55 degrees for the cpu and gpu.
- on the background running also firefox with netflix and discord in the background.

hope this information can help, cant play it this way :(

i did a rerun to test some stuff out this is what i saw on my pc.

before the run:

- update my GPU drivers
- checked windows updates (windows 11)
- verify the game files

the crashed happened when loading into the MYGM draft, so its stuck on the WWE 2K25 loading screen (with the text under it it is easier to pin and submit.....)

no other software was running in the background (no firefox,no discord)

cpu was around 61% for a couple of minutes (no spike)
RAM was around 42% for the same time (no spike)
no usage from the SSD
GPU was alone 1%

I've seen a few people report that disabling various overlay programs makes the game substantially more stable.
(Steam Overlay, Discord Overlay, Nvidia Overlay, etc)

sounds like the loading screen or gernally Loading something in the game is the problem here since the crash on startup also happens when the loading emblem appears.

Seeing as your specs are so similar to Marvin's it might be related to something in the specs. It depends if a particular instruction is incompatible with the AMD hardware and triggering it at that moment.

Thanks for posting! If others experiencing the issue have similar specs, we can find the trend. SilentWraith has an overlap between both of you, for instance.

Now based on the post a few above, do you have Discord or have anything downloading when entering the game?

Well i didnt use Discord or some Apps that could cause trouble. Rest of the Game works perfectly just the minor crashes and bugs in some Game Modes. But the problem HERE is the Freeze of the whole System when i start the Game. After the white screen, when the first WWE loading logo appears down on the right side. Then my PC get‘s completely freezed and i can‘t make nothing. Always have to power off with the button of my PC(☠️☠️)

Only thing that helps is restart PC before everytime i want to Play and i noticed that it often works fine when i play immediately after the PC started. But still its 50/50 if the Game starts fine or it freezes! AND YES IT happens to me also at the Logo Screen as i described below

Have you went to task manager contrl alt del to close the game?

You're currently describing a different issue to this thread as you're getting past the initial loading screen. I suggest making a new thread for now to take on other potential solutions.

The difference I'm seeing between a lot of people (myself included) is:

When it crashes upon launching the game, the entire PC freezes.
When it crashes when you're actually IN the game, it just crashes the game itself.

Is this accurate to your experience?

the pattern is the loading screen. As soon as the game loads with the small wwe logo in the bottom right it has the chance to crash.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
RAM: 64GB
GPU: RTX 4090 (latest studio driver)
Windows 11

Yeah, its 50/50 somehow, no apps open (beside steam oc) or just a browser.
i can't say if CPU got 100%, because when it freezes, nothing works anymore.

Edit: Just crashed again, I had the task manager opend, CPU got about 35% before everything freezes. Not sure if that is important, but I am using two screens (playing on one only of course) and had the task manager on the other one.

That's exactly my point, although I'm be more specific and focusing on the freeze at that very first loading screen when booting the game, nowhere else. Others are bringing separate issues to the thread.

The components point is a possible reason but the more people who bring Intel components into it the less likely that seems.
