The game gets stuck on the start screen in an endless loading process.
Hey, the game won't let me play,

The game starts, but then gets stuck in the first screen in an endless loading screen, the CPU load increases to 100%, I let it run for 2 minutes to see if it might continue, but the result remained the same.

System AMD 7800x3d, AMD 7900 XT, 32 GB DDR5 RAM.
All drivers are up to date, also already tried to reinstall the game.

Incorrect. Doing hard reboot due to computer freezing damages hardware.
Even worse than, good for clarifying.
Today's computers should be safe even for hard reboots from previous editions, and it is generally very unlikely that damage will occur. Jeez guys do a google search.. You must be new to computers right?

Your overheating, that's probably why...
It is not an overheating issue. Overheating shuts ur system down not freezes it in place. And also since hardware was ruled out as the cause this adds nothing to this discussion.

So as we can see, this problem is starting to flood the discussion topics here on Steam, proving that it is not an isolated problem, anyone who has the displeasure of updating Windows will suffer the same problems.

So poor guy, if 2k25 is doing this on his PC, clearly if he installs Baldurs Gate 3 his PC will explode
Kalu Mar 17 @ 6:14pm
dude this is not make any sense, There are no fans going crazy, no smoke, no fire, no strange noise, no shutdown, no error warning, it's just a silent and fatal stop

That's inaccurate. I've simply found the similar threads already here and asked questions to see if the issues are related. Everyone with the issue should confirm that the freeze happens in the same spot, check if the CPU jumps to 100% load (if possible) and post their specs as it seems to be an AMD-specific problem.

I miss the time when the game just crashed in my face, I was happy and didn't know it

As I've been suffering with this since the last game, I can say with certainty that it happens in the same place or in the initial credits or in loading screens between exhibition or universe matches, screen changes, editing superstars, a crash that comes without warning like an RKO, my expectations more than meet the requirements, Intel Core 5 8Gen, RTX 4060, 1TB HD, 500 SSD, 16GB RAM, everything new and without problems.

I can’t confirm this but I doubt my cpu load goes to 100, since usually as higher the load gets my fans get louder, but while this happens they don’t make a louder noise and stay in desktop mode noisewise.
But obviously this has to be taken with a grain of salt since I cannot track it on occurrence.

Please list the specs and explain exactly what happens when it happens to you.

You're adding stuff to the point you're now describing something different, or you're having multiple issues.

Can you be specific about this PC freeze issue and mention which processor you have in full? There are multiple 8th gen processors. Where is the game installed?
