The game gets stuck on the start screen in an endless loading process.

Hey, the game won't let me play,

The game starts, but then gets stuck in the first screen in an endless loading screen, the CPU load increases to 100%, I let it run for 2 minutes to see if it might continue, but the result remained the same.

System AMD 7800x3d, AMD 7900 XT, 32 GB DDR5 RAM.
All drivers are up to date, also already tried to reinstall the game.

who knows what causes the issue. but at least seems rare for me.

i haven't had any other issues with the game, like crashes, etc it's otherwise run flawlessly.

The game literally freezes my whole pc, i can’t open task manager and alt tabbing does nothing. I’ve already had it corrupt my msi afterburner, basically making it vanish from my pc, when i turned my pc off.

It’s not a computer issue, it’s a game or and win11 issue. When only wwe2k25 does this and no other single brand new game, it’s a game issue. The specs are literally posted before.

I've been having the same problem since 2k24, which is where it all started. Since most people use Windows 10 or Windows 11 version 23h2, the problem hasn't been shared much, which is a shame. It's basically a 50% chance of it working or not. There's still a 10% chance of it still crashing on loading screens. I can get past the home screen, but the game can crash on loading screens, freezing my entire PC. It's impossible to close it in the task manager, forcing you to reset your PC. It's not a hardware problem, since 2k25 and previous versions don't require a very powerful PC. It's a compatibility problem with the latest version of Windows 11. Now, 2k support saying it has to do with the internet is really strange. How can this lead to a fatal bug? For now, I'm just transferring my creations from one game to the other, hoping I don't get screwed. After that, I won't touch the game again until they fix it.

For those who have a problem, this is not a solution, it's more of a breather for those who are stubborn like me, lol, don't start the game with the controller connected, disable background applications, delete the config folder, crashpad from the files, go to Windows config and put your video card in high performance, go to the Nvidia control panel and put the open gl rendering system on your video card and turn off vsync, again this doesn't solve the problem but it increases the chances of the game working until it crashes again, lol.

Can you be more specific about the freeze and list your specs?

Zeko this game completely crashes your PC if you have discord open or are downloading anything whilst the game is booting. Try replicating it yourself

My pc has a 4070 super and 7600x. this is much better than the average person and way higher than the recommended specs. How about we start blaming the AAA company instead of blaming the players

Yes, more specific. Now two of you have described the issue you can compare just in case it happens in different places. Now I have to ask you whether it's happening at the first screen with the logos 50% of the time like Marvin.

Seeing as your specs are so similar to Marvin's it might be related to something in the specs. It depends if a particular instruction is incompatible with the AMD hardware and triggering it at that moment.

The other 50% the game works well. No crashes when I am able to get in ,only on the start up has problems for me, even tho I did only play a few exhibition matches no story etc to test.
And i don’t have any other programs run at the same time only steam and the game and the usual windows things. No downloads. And just a usb xbox Controller to Play. I don’t know if it might be something important but my CPU is undervolted via PTO from amd. Else everything on default and newest chipset drivers etc.
