'Very High end' it wasnt considered that in 2012 when it launched, let alone in 2025, now its scraping the bottom of midrange at best, which sure is fine as a 1080p grade chip I suppose for a game of this type ported from a console... but c'mon.... lets be real.

same here, I'm a bit new to PC. only got it as a gift on Christmas about 3 months ago. i had not got a clue of what is an AVX2. was so excited and hyped for this game but when i bought it, it refused to launch. i tried almost every YouTube tutorial but nothing works. so you HAVE to have AVX2 to run this game. literally had this PC for 3 months and ALREADY need to upgrade it. also tried refunding it however i got rejected TWICE. the second one i even stated a lot of information and still got rejected. reason i can come up with is that 2K25 came with 2K24, Been playing that because 2K25 is unlaunchable. ive got over the 2 hour limit (i think its 2 hours but i could be wrong) and bear in mind ive bought the Bloodline Edition, so ive spent 120 pounds on a game that doesn't launch and i cant even get my money back smh.
and i also agree with your statement on saying that we were given the last gen version of 2K25 but we need a next gen requirement to run this game?
i SERIOUSLY pray that hopefully 2K can patch AVX2 out so all of us can launch it and be happy. but part of me thinks that 2K is serious about AVX2, thus not patching it out. then it will be the default requirement for 2K26 and so on. if that happens will i dont know what im gonna do because i cannot refund it. i only have one option and its that i have to save up for a whole new CPU that supports AVX2 and get it installed into my PC (i literally have no experience on installing and replacing stuff on a PC before)
That is me being real, you don't have to believe me but that is the truth. The AMD FX-8350 CPU is a solid CPU for gaming and it works just fine. I only play in 1080p resolution because that is all you need to have a good PC gaming experience. I don't have a lot of money to blow on a new Motherboard, RAM, and a new CPU just because of one game that refuses to make a simple compatibility patch to remove the AVX2 requirement for high end CPUs that could run the game with AVX instructions instead. So before you make generalizations how about you research a little bit on the topic first instead of throwing meaningless ratings at my face. The CPU does its job and I don't need to upgrade it . . .PERIOD. It is not the fault of the CPU it is the 2K developers problem because they decided to add on an unneeded requirement that needs to be patched out so that everyone can enjoy WWE 2K25 and not just a select few.
It's really sad because its not that your PC can't handle this game because of normal requirements, it's because of an unnecesary requirement.
Will support that idea of tickets so they can patch it, meanwhile wwe 2k24 Will be my go.
If you guys and girls try to reach 2k, please give us feedback so everyrone can do their part
Hey all, I had the same issue too. I started using shadow pc and the game runs perfectly. Hope this helps.
I bet the AVX2 was for the alternate Entrance Views, Underground's ppl on the ring, and blood, sweat and bruises as the match goes...
