Seeing as there's a distinct reason in this thread and your PC doesn't match the symptoms, it's likely something else so a new thread for your situation is a better option to avoid confusion.
If it turns out there's an issue in the game, then all the threads will find a fix at the same time. But for now, your diagnostic run goes on a different path, which is why I recommend making a new thread.
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K
GPU: GTX 1660 Ti
I'm having the same issue but I've was able to run 2k23 and 2k24
AVX2 came to NBA 2K25 last year, causing my crossed wires.
Given the circumstances, you are (& probably will be for some time) able to refund even if you have surpassed the allowed playtime, so don't worry about that part. Rather try and see if 2K makes a statement or smth. I've refunded and I'm waiting to see if anything comes up.
Unofficially, there's an Intel emulator that could make it work, but this would be at your own risk. It's not something 2K Support would be able to suggest or assist with, I'm only mentioning it because it's an Intel website.

So the game is unplayable without upgrading my PC?
