Do you see yourself buying the game?
Personally, I am happy to see promos coming back. As someone who just plays with custom characters. I can not wait to see how the new features of universe mode work. That said I would have preferred to see a create a story mode that would have brought this game to life.

Ideally i would rather see the return of create a story, more custom character slots, as well as the ability to import our own music. I feel like 2K is just phoning it in at this point. Now I will say that giving the bloodline their own showcase is great. I just don't like the emphasis on myfaction long since a thorn on our sides that's been long since derided as a cheap mode.

Finally, I love my gm going online as a concept. However, the servers don't give me too much confidence.

All in all I'm on the fence about this game. Pre order or nah?

Nope, I cancelled my pre-order once I found out PC and consoles can;t cross gen anything even CC. I rely on it because of an efed thing.
Where exactly did you hear that? As long as you have a 2K account you can use cross gen to get custom fan made characters. I'm not crazy about 2k25 neither, but that is news to me.
It's speculation based on a statement about The Island making cross-gen CC have limitations. No-one knows what that means for the feature, though, and some have jumped to the worst possible conclusion.

At this moment in time no. Inferior version. Mode removal. Full price charged on special editions, which is same as "next gen" console prices. Rumours of CC not being cross platform. WWE 2k24 being completely broken and only loading one every 10 attempts, then seemingly works deleting settings from folder then won't boot again next time you restart the pc. I'm literally at the point now where it feels like it's an avoid than a preorder buy

Honestly no. Its not just because the game is the last-gen version, but WWE 2K24 for me has been an unpleasant experience. I preordered the ultimate edition of the game (Ik dumb decision) and thought I would have fun with the new matches.

Turns out 2K24 had a poor return on investment for me for the following reasons
*My save file was wiped during the regular launch date. Went far into MyGM and MyRise so starting over was not fun.

*The gameplay is lackluster. The combo system is surprisingly not my biggest issue, but the pinfall and submission mechanics were wonky. There was no way you could escape Bret Hart's Sharpshooter or Kurt Angle's Ankle Lock when the match goes on for more than twenty minutes. There were times when I timed my pins correctly and it didn't register.

*The DLC was not bad, but it felt like an obligation to play it as I got bored with the game a month after release.

*After ten years of preordering WWE games, I just think there is no hope for this series. I know this is a pessimistic outlook, but things were shaping up for the series after 2K made the games better starting with WWE 2K22, only to fall into old habits again.

With that being said and the fact that WWE 2K25 isn't remotely interesting to me. I am not buying the game.

Because with 2K, the worst possible conclusion is often the most plausible.

The pinfall and submission system are crappy as hell, thanks for pointing it out, made my matches a hell. Didnt enjoy it at all
BIG NO.

I will buy it when it is with an 85% discount or when they release WWE 2K26 and give this one as a gift.

I forgot to mention that the pinfall and submission mechanics relied a lot on stats. For some reason, 2K decided to give a lot of wrestlers ratings in the 60s and 70s which made the gameplay even more frustrating. Not to mention, Bret Hart and Kurt Angle's submission stats are maxed out which is understandable, but once you get locked in a sleeper hold by either of those two its over.
I have bought the game since the first installment for WWE Warzone (terrible game with Mortal Kombat like finisher commands, atrocious), although I do wait for the price to drop because the price itself I find extremely high at launch and no game is worth $120 or more imo and if 2K forces RayTracing at some point, I will pass until further notice.:badluck:

Only if the gameplay won't be awful like on the previous one, no selling, limited moves, arcade is horrible, WWE 2K19 still has the best gameplay.

i'll get it when its 20 bucks a year from now.
Gameplay changes.
So I saw some gameplay footage from SmackTalks, and it looks like the gameplay is a bit streamlined.

- The Submission Wheel is back, but there is an option to use the buttons.

- Chain wrestling is back, but has more depth put into it.

- You can dive off the barricades.

Does any of this change y'all's stance on buying the game? I am still on the fence for it.

I only play these games to use custom characters and for the mygm and universe mode. I like that women can now bleed, but I got to see how universe mode works. I'm not going to dismiss 2K25 yet. I just wish they'd let us have more custom slots.

No. Unless they have intergender matches.

I want to play a video game, not a social commentary.
They have it and you can turn it off and on.
Blunt Raps 6. feb. kl. 8.43
No.

All i care about is the CAW story mode. (MyRise? MyPlayer? Whatever its called.)
And the last time they did the dual gender story in 1 mode, it sucked.

Seen someone else mention bringing back create-a-story... If anyone at 2K ever sees this, i would strongly suggest that too.

Adds a ton of replay value, and as its an online feature (assuming you can share them), discourages piracy in an incentive-based manner. Rather than punishing paying customer like most titles do.

Thats likely whats missing to make MyUniverse hook the masses.

I couldnt care less about the island of irrelevance, or road to wrestlemania, or showcase, or any of those modes.
