Expanded Gameplay - Intergender Matches
Publicado originalmente por Steam Store Page:
Intergender wrestling makes its long-awaited debut in the WWE 2K franchise!

Publicado originalmente por Ringside Report:
Fans have been clamoring for it for years and we’re ecstatic to finally bring you intergender matches this year for the first time in WWE 2K franchise history.

The ability to match up WWE Superstars and Legends from both the men’s and women’s divisions, opens up a lot of opportunities within the game, whether you’re taking on friends in local or online play, or expanding your creative ideas in Universe, the possibilities are exciting with support in various areas of the game.

Want to pit the “9th Wonder of the World” Chyna against “Latino Heat” Eddie Guerrero? Or how about revisiting Nia Jax entering the Men’s Royal Rumble? It’s all possible in WWE 2K25.

Intergender matches are supported for nearly every match type including 1v1, tag-team, triple threat, Battle Royal, Guest Referee, Underground, Casket Match, Tournaments, and more.

For tag team matches, you still have the ability to choose the traditional mixed-match setup, but can also now add a regular 2v2 where the men and the women can battle it out in the ring, without having to tag out to their respective partners.

The inclusion of intergender match support also extends to some non-traditional parts of the game such as Championships.

Custom Championships can be set up to support both the men and the women so it can be put up in intergender title matches which also includes the ability to set up intergender tag team titles. So if you want to create new intergender championships and crown Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest as champs, you can do that too.

There are a couple of existing championships such as the 24/7, UpUpDownDown, and LeftRightLeftRight titles that will also support both divisions.

There are other threads about the other gameplay changes, so please keep this thread about this topic. :)

I'm curious to see how these are implemented, in more detail. I'm assuming there'll be the obvious- and understandable- limitations, such as blood being locked off. Weapon and potential spot/move restrictions are something else I could see, on at least some level.

I'm curious to see how the OVR stat will be calculated and if the attributes work differently, or if it'll be complete parity now.
I could see it going either way, either an overhaul to compensate or parity, and I think there's a case to be made in both directions. Detractors on both sides, as well... though I would guess parity could have the stronger dissent, based on prior discussions on the topic.

More clarification in the recent Ringside Report! The info and source is in the opening post.

I'm guessing it's pretty much all of the matches except first blood since women still don't bleed? Still, it's great to see intergender matches making its return after so long. Maybe next year, we also get blood for them, unless they decide to patch that in later.

Pretty sick that you wanna hit women. No reason for a Man to be hitting a woman. There is NO REASON to make a game where men beat the crap outta women. Shame on you.

What singles championship? Can you modify current titles to be intergender?
What about MyGM too. Titles going to be intergender able in MyGM? MyUniverse any other mode? or is this just exhibitions/play?

In all fighting games male characters can fight female characters, it's a videogame, get a clue dude, also, equal rights, equal fights.

Pretty sexist of you to say its a game about beating on women.
I remember a female wrestler tried to grab me, I reversed her. The games built in reverse movement is an elbow the face. I got disqualified. I actually lost the match because I didn't let her manhandle me.

I have no interest in fighting women with male characters, but as long as they remove the stupid auto DQ anytime a female gets accidentally struck, then im good. Nothing sucks worse than your AI partner going for a clothesline, missing, and hitting the opposing female by mistake, getting us DQd. Or even worse, when the AI just decides its going to attack the girl and us DQ'd on purpose. Literally the most frustrating thing i've ever experienced.

If that isn't fixed then its still bust. Otherwise we'll have to do the intergender tag match and just have a gentlemens agreement.

...add to that Wrestling is FAKE!
They are actors, performers, etc...
Even the men aren't getting hit.

Imagine a wrestling game...

...where the players aren't competing, but working together to fake the most awesome fight for the audience.

That would be the truest pro wrestling simulation.

Gender is a thing of the past!
Thank you!

This has pissed me off in every wrestling game, and nothing still to this day could come close to "Smackdown Know your role", but when wrestling starting becoming boring in games and even in the show itself with no Women VS Men, it just became boring as hell, and kinda put women into a certain "role".

Know that I don't condone beating up women or anything, but it was incredibly entertaining back then, and still to this day and incredibly believable that women like Chyna, and Rhea Ripley could easily toss around men.

For me it's incredibly fun in this game, because you can literally do anything you imagine.

I thought the "women division" was going to be just that... Another boring storyline. But my goodness was I surprised when it became literally a gang war, and didn't matter who was who, everyone got beat up haha.

So much fun in a made-up wrestling game. Even the "MyRise" right now as silly as it is, gives us literally both male, and female roles, we create both, and see it through.

As much crap as this game does wrong, this is a huge step in the right direction. And I hope this continues to be a thing in the future.
