I'd love to see some real time spent on Universe mode - bringing pack in promos, giving us freedom to build our own storylines through cutscenes and more freedom around what happens outside the matches.
BUT even without that, I hope there's some work that's been done on making what is already in there work more easy to use compared to 2k22, 2k23 and 2k24. For example:
- MITB: Can I have multiple MITBs across two or three different shows and have them actually work with the matches and titles I assign them to? And a way to cash them in across different match types whenever I want without having to use tempremental menu prompts or rivalry options?
- UI: The number of menus is mind boggling. Most noticable for me: why do I put people in divisions if, when booking a match, I have to go back out through 3 menus to remember who's in what division (I have to make physical notes to refer to) - when setting up a match, I'm almost never picking between the existing "weight class" filters, but I would love to be able to filter my wrestlers by division at that point.
- Cross-brand: Can I have filters for individual brands too when setting up a match but still have the option for (e.g.) people from Smackdown to come into a Raw match (not in 2k23)? What is not user-friendly is only being able to pick e.g. RAW superstars on RAW, but still having to scroll through all the other greyed-out superstars to get there.
- Rivalries: I'm OK with what I've got, but can I rely on people actually getting injured/leaving a brand if that's the stipulation, or the rivlary even ending, or am I stuck with them randomly continuing/having no effect for seemingly no reason?
- Coordination: If I put a tag team together in UM only and give them a new entrance and new costumes, will it recognise that or default to old (or even random) entrances/costumes?
- Cutscenes - Even without bringing promos back, can we have some customizable cutscenes and have those titled or grouped sensibly (e.g. not just "Scene 1" to "Scene 87")
These are a few admittedly little annoyances I've experienced and may be really picky, but even absent a new or overhauled Universe Mode, they seem like easy fixes that would just make the whole experience feel better.
Love to hear others' thoughts.
Like Palworld does with its Co-op? Not on a server but you sync somehow, idk how Palworld but their Co-op not on a actual server with other randoms, is really nice.
I think this would be good for matchmaking too. Competitive play. Maybe like 1 ranked game a day. Slow pace yet not too slow? Competitive play probably better in a mode like MyPlayer.

Of course, post your opinions here too (not videos).
While you can book things, the basic gameplay loop of Universe is closer to a Season Mode (its original description was Exhibition Plus) seeing as the mode books itself by default.
Also, imagine typing out whole promos on a controller every show!
I don't have time to invest in the full classic mode, so just wondered if anyone knows of any progression made on the Superstar side?
I did have 2k24 but was quite disappointed and could never really get into it. Hoping it might have been improved upon since then?
