I remember having a few discussions about the latter on the Discord...
Thank you for making it so easy to skip this rip-off.
Glad it's making a comeback.
Spoiler alert... more people would buy the game if the devs stop treating PC players so poorly and outright disrespecting us.
Sorry but this is the most ridiculous "excuse" ever... even if that were the case, that is exactly what graphics settings are for on PC.. you know, this thing that pretty much every game on PC has by standard.
Are you seriously trying to tell me that a whole brand new game mode can't be playable on PC just because some people have older hardware? What an absolute joke. What exactly is so special about this mode that "most PC players" can't handle?
It doesn't cost the devs any more money to include this mode on PC, it's already been developed. There is just no excuse for it at all.
EA pulled this same crap with FIFA a few years ago giving us the old version when they added the hypermotion stuff, and then realised that was a mistake and the next year PC got the full "current" version of the game.
Instead, now people just wont buy the game because we are being screwed over for no reason.. so well done 2K this game will be a flop on PC.
Maybe stop treating your customers willing to pay you money like crap and we'll be more likely to support the devs and game.
I'd be surprised if that were the case as it might mean a whole new set of development tests and the like.
Hope those who get it have fun but wow not wasting anymore money here.
I am a huge fan of the series and the WWE itself. I buy their games every year, even purchased collector editions when they were available many years ago.
Now I have seen the trailer for WWE 2K25 and I see that the "The Island" mode is only available for PS5 and XBox X|S.
This feels not only like a personal slap to the face, John Cena's former finisher move basically (before it was named Attitude Adjustment), but it also is a slap to the PC player community as a whole.
I do understand that some players might have problems with spec requirements and their reason for not having this mode is to accomodate for more players. However PC is usually - at least in my understanding - considered the "current gen" always. Putting it on par with PS4 and Xbox One is questionable in my personal opinion.
Then there is the price. They are charging the same price for all editions on PC as they do with the PS5 and Xbox X|S version. So we are paying the same price but receive less content in the game. How does that sound right? It is just unfair to all the PC players. It should at least be priced lesser than those versions. I do not understand their strategy in all of this.
I wonder what I'll do. I'd like to play it, however I am very unhappy with their behaviour towards PC players. So probably I'll wait for a good discount later down the line for this iteration of WWE 2K.
So my question to end this whole post is, if the devs have massive balls like "The Miz" does or if they are blind to the outrage this will cause/is currently causing in the PC player base. Do they just not care about their reputation or the reputation of WWE 2K on PC?
I could very well imagine this game getting review bombed for the missing content which might obviously be unfair for hopefully good gameplay-wise content but is also understandable for the frustration of the PC player base and treating "us" like we just accept this conduct. And I can totally understand that PC players will voice their frustrations...
Instead of "We the Ones" I feel "We the dumbs"... No Ones up for that one Visual Concepts.
