The problem does not appear to be limited to tag titles. Currently Universe doesn't let you have an intergender division for any championship, singles or tag. Is anyone not having this problem?
It is super annoying to see the issue marked resolved when it has not been resolved!
When you add an intergender championship to a show (in the Edit Championships & MITB screen), beneath the options for changing championship and current champions there should be an option saying 'Intergender' which is turned off by default. Move to that and use left/right buttons to toggle it on and off.

When it's on you should be able to add men and women to single championship divisions, as well as male, female, and mixed tag teams to tag championship divisions.
And obviously remember to turn on intergender wrestling in the Universe options, and make sure that the championship in question is set to any gender in the championship creator.
I hope that helps!
Edit: if you can't choose an intergender tag team as your initial champions when creating the division, check the tag teams menu and make sure their roles are set to Tag and not Solo. That seems to make a difference. But you should still be able to add them to an intergender division if their roles are Solo
Thank you! Seems to be working fine now!
