Steam username displayed at top right of screen?
Does anybody know how turn off your Steam username showing up in the top right corner of the screen? It’s always there during the menus, and most of the time during a match. Is this a bug or something I have to turn off?

I am also looking for this. Why does my steam name need to be up at the top at all times?

I read it might just be for early access. Hopefully it goes away…
It's been like that since 2K20,,, they aren't gonna change it..

I’m surprised more people aren’t complaining about this. My username is displayed the entire time during entrances and matches, and it never goes away. Previous games like 2K24 and older only showed it on some menus, not during actual gameplay. The last thing I need is my username burned into my OLED.

No it hasn't.
Its frustrating it was never there during matches and now no way to turn it off
Yeah, it's kinda weird having SillySweet69LoverXXX on all of my gameplay footages.
its a bug after a few restarts and randomly changing settings it removed from my matches, it will always be on title screens

Might be a watermark to help the company figure out whose the cheaters and their info and if they doing something they shouldnt be doing.

But I can also this as a user wants to anonymous, maybe their stream name and steam wwe game usernames are different and they don't want people to know steam username so I can see from anonymous perspective of wanting that gone.

Outside of wanting anonymous, whats the big deal, its just text on loading screen. It's not like its disrupting your game.

It also could be for developers, say if they running AI Agents to test their game, they can probably tell whose who, and look at if they encountered a bug and easily lookup their configurations and what not and figure out these bugs and put them in their backlog of stuff to fix while working on the game. So in development type of thing to help them find bugs type of UI.

The big deal is that if it is a "feature", it should have the option to be turned off.
Also try being a content creator and want to make cinematic moments with your steam username burned in the footage
