Stuck to low quality assets in match
Anyone else having this problem? I have set everything to max settings but something seems broken on PC. In a match everyone has low quality hair and body textures but if I choose Highlight Reel then everything is how it should be and transforms into high quality.

I heard from someone that did not have this problem but I am sitting here with my 4090 and 7800X3D and have this.

How about you guys?

In match:

Highlight Reel:

You can also see this problem here in this video from someone (Look at Cody's hair)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrMK7JYvTRI

EDIT:

I nailed the problem a little bit down. I did lot's of more comparisons. Found out that low asset models seems to glitch through the attire very often like Tonga Loa here:

https://b.l3n.co/i/YbqmQq.png

Which doesn't happen on the high quality assets.

And then I found out that it's probably LOD based, and therefore an LOD problem. If I go very close to the model with the third person camera, it changes to high quality. So this is what's actually broken. The LOD is so short that the normal gameplay camera can't reach it and everything is low asset models in normal gameplay.

Edit 2:

Here are 2 more examples of this issue. Every PC version has this and yes, it's indeed because the LOD distance for High Quality assets is set too close to the models so it never triggers. This leads to moments like this where the bell rings and the second the match starts, all 4 characters turn into lower asset characters.

Or, problems like this, where I am sure that 2K doesn't wan't this to be a huge topic on social media.
Because you are only seeing lower asset models in gameplay, these models have slightly changed bodies and these don't react well anymore to the attires they are wearing. So you are constantly having smaller or bigger parts of the body glitching through the clothing, like here.

I am sure it's in 2Ks interest to get this fixed.

UPDATE:

The LOD issue is now officially in the Tracker of 2K for current problems! Please upvote to make them fix this.

https://support.wwe2k.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/39519897677075-Play-Graphic-Quality-Randomly-Appears-Low-in-Gamplay-and-Highlight-Reels

They still got the description half wrong here tho. 🤦🏻‍♂️ The issue is always in gameplay and always because of a very simple and instantly noticable reason (The LOD "trigger" being too close to the characters) and not random and it is not appearing in Highlight Reel at all, that's why you can use Highlight Reel to compare.
It's like you explain things to them like they're 5 and they still throw every information together like AI 1.0 and make something confusing out of it. 😂

But still, upvoting would be nice.

so is that a bug ?

Definitely, yes. It is currently impossible on PC to not have low quality asset models in your match cause the trigger for high quality models is too short.

That’s annoying lol but thanks for confirming and finding the issue I’ll open a ticket with support

If anyone thinks it is an actual bug, I recommend sending in a ticket to 2K Support.

Yes, this is a 2K25 only problem. Never was a thing in 24.

Already did, very detailed, 4000 characters long. We will see if it does something.

This is definitely a bug. This never happened in 2k24. If it's not a bug, it's a deliberate downgrade on the PC version to push a move to consoles. There is simply no reason for it as this game is not taxing at all on modern systems, compared to other recent games. My GPU is like on 40% utilisation, and I'm on a 3070 at 1440p, max settings. At least just give us an option or a slider. (Well, that's why they have the "multi-man performance" tickbox for potato PCs).

yh i hope its a bug , the hardware limitation excuse was pretty funny for the island considering this game is easier to run than anything lol

After noticing it happen alot in MyFaction i decided to check back in here.

I suspected the same, bc in 4v4 matches with the game's camera being slightly more zoomed out, the audience becomes a horrible low texture mess. When i compared it with my 2k24 screenshots, that never happened before.

So it's as you said: The distance of the camera causes the low textures to appear. I'm baffled how they could screw this up, when it worked perfectly last year. I'm at a complete loss for words over this mess

EDIT: Ok, also noticed it in 1v1 matches, so its not tied to multi-person matches. It's solely on the camera. It also seems they are trying to hide the fact that the audience is stuck to low quality assets by using the blur, which disappears at a different angle. It looked so much better last year. Absolute joke from 2k...

Bump, noticed this too. they need to fix it ASAP. You can see the LOD change clearly with third person camera.

Update:

The issue is on PS5 as well, so it's thankfully not PC exclusive bug

I checked some videos of 2k24 and the LOD change was obvious as well, but it was much better than 25, you can tell from Cody's hair at the beginning of the match
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akRnNW9kR7Y

They need to set LOD distance much further

Graphic quality is lower than 2K24 thats for sure. 2K25 the character models look almost plastic like at times.
WestJake Mar 13 @ 10:05am
Fix the LODs for god's sake
It's horrible, looking on downgraded models with extremely ugly hair and bald spots.
