When you go back into the game after the patch is installed, you will see this Yes/No message:

You want to say "Yes" to this as your save data is still from the previous version of the game and is not compatible with the new patch. It will then update your save data to work with the updated game.

It isn't a him problem. I had the issue chronically with 2k24, this edition isn't too bad but it still happens from time to time

I've owned the last several WWE 2K games on PC, run them on 5 or so different rigs/handhelds in all, and have NEVER experienced a freeze lol. When the majority, including myself aren't experiencing a problem, its time to start looking at other solutions besides blaming the devs. I realize you and a handful of others have experienced this, but I'd bet good money that the handful of users with the problem all have something in common that the majority just don't. IE bad interent connnection, bad case/CPU cooling/airflow, background application that's interfering, etc.

Rock's new entrance has been bugged for titles from day one, not one attempt to solve it. Game is still highly unstable, online STILL DOES NOT WORK. And Community Creations cross platform was removed in promises to fix the servers. Which in reality they didn't do a thing. Really sick of how much 2k IGNORES what PLAYERS say and want and instead do whatever the crap they feel like. Which is usally catering to their microtransaction's instead of anything to do with the game itself. Dev's complain they don't get the sales they used to and blame it on us the gamer. When it's their faults for NOT LISTENING TO CUSTOMERS. No one wants microtransactions in games. Not one gamer wants them. DLC is a scam because it is content for the game they withhold for extra payment.

The only thing they fix as fast as they can is their online shop and My Faction cuz they so afraid to give too many reward by mistake.

I had't issues with the freeze on startup (when I have to restart my PC), playing a lot of other games for the last few years. So if the ABSOLUTE MAJORITY of other devs can hadle with freezes even on PCs with bad internet connection, bad case/CPU cooling/airflow and etc, so it is a definately problem is with specific very bad developers.

I can play one match in universe fine then the next match will always freeze up. Didn't start happening until the first dlc dropped.

No freeze issues of any kind. There must be something specific in common with those having issues, because if it was a general game issue we'd all be having it.

Has anyone bothered going through their event viewer logs to see if there's any clues?

Try to wait it out. May take over a minute when you see the WWE symbol frozen, but just tank through it. I used to restart my PC but now wait patiently and it works

Oh, you're talking about during a match and the wrestlers freeze in place? That's WAY different than the game freezing and needing to restart your pc. Wonder which freeze people are even talking about anymore. After the patch before this most recent one I got it for the first time where wrestlers got stuck in place randomly. Never happened before or again since though. Chalked it up to a one off or controller issue on my end. Will test further once they give us a reason to play again. I'm not digging any of these DLC wrestlers.
