Learn something new: you can make managers!
I made a new CAW today, as I am wont to do, and I was pretty pleased with the visual design, so I saved and went to look for an appropriate moveset to use as a base in the MyCrotransaction card market (Why are so many people missing in there, by the way?). When I got back, I couldn't find my CAW in the custom list for editing their moveset. I thought maybe I backed out without saving, but to make sure I looked at my deletion utility, and my CAW was there, as a manager. I didn't know you could make CAWs as pure managers, and I don't know how I did it or most importantly, how to switch them back to actual competitors.

So, how? Someone help! This is gamebreaking to me!

Edit: Praise the Lord! I figured it out!

I had set my second attire as manager default, and turning that off in the superstar editor (where you do attires) changed my guy/gal (not telling and it doesn't matter) back into a "normal" wrestler.

So that's one problem solved but it comes with another problem: I can't use the "set as manager attire" setting (or whatever the game calls it) anymore because it makes my movesets uneditable and my guys (maybe) unplayable.

Glad you uncovered the problem!
wait how do you even set caws or their attire types as pure managers like that???
What he means is that he set his 2nd attire as a manager attire. Then set that attire to default. That apparently turned the CAW to a manager.

It's probably an unintended side affect. Absent other issues, I would hope that this 'bug' goes unfixed.
i kinda need an explanation on how to actually do it

i feel like i could use this to add entrance parts on in-ring attire? because i tried setting to manager but it didn't do anything to let me add entrance parts to ring attire

That's where you got it wrong. Entrance parts are limited to entrance attires, no matter the designation of the underlying attire.

At least, that's my understanding. Happy to be corrected if that's not the case.
I used a positively-worded title, but there are no good news here (that I intended). I just had a problem that needed fixing, and I fixed it on my own, with random but opportunely-timed ideas and only a little thought, mere moments after asking for help, as is my wont.

I'm actually not sure which of the two attires was set as default, only the one that was "automatically selected when you make this guy a manager, unless you choose to change to the other". And I MAY have moved my attires from attire set slot 1 to attire set slot 2 and vice versa (because you can do that, and if you want reproduce what I did that's a thing to look into).
