Match either breaks the game or freezes it

Today I was playing the last match in the Weekly Tower (the Iron Woman match versus 76 Natalya) and when I selected any character of my deck, the game will break. I tried several times with different characters and eventually I could start the match once or twice, but in the end both superstars freeze (I think it freezes whenever I try to taunt, but I'm not 100% sure) and the clock is still running, making it impossible to win.

Did someone had the same or a similar issue? If so, is there a workaround of some sort?
