This quote is going around the internet at the moment. The source is apparently a 2K representative from Germany, so inaccuracy or even fakeness is possible. I would really like it confirmed that cross-console CC are still in the game.

It's unfortunate. You'll recall that after the WWE 2K20 debacle they publicly promised us more transparency. Its been years now and they clearly haven't lived up to their word. Remember with WWE 2K22, for example, we only found out that there were no advanced custom entrances days before release and the only reason we found this out is because someone who got an early copy of the game told us through Twitter. 2K never even told us directly. Sort of reminds me of that time where Vince came out on RAW with Stephanie and Triple H to apologize for how bad the product was only for Vince to hide behind his daughter to do the apology even though he was the reason the product was so bad. I really want these games to succeed but 2K has consistently shown for years that when they fail to quickly address these rumors that likely means that the rumors are true thereby lowering my faith in them as a company.

It only says that it limits the creations. Which might mean there are creation things exclusive to The Island that won't be in the 8th Gen version as a result. Same as when you try to download a creation that has a part you haven't unlocked or bought yet.

I hope there is cross gen but if you have something that no one else does like 2k24 shows the dlc or content other wrestlers are used and can't be downloaded. Because other wise there are 5 e-feds I will not be able to be apart of. And it would sadden me that my wrestler Dirty Sanchez can't be apart of.

I'm eager to find out more about this. I hope it doesn't disrupt the CAWs too much.

Take my advice. Usually if there's a negative rumor going around about features that will be missing in the upcoming 2K games and 2K fails to promptly address it that is almost a guarantee that the rumor is true.

Looks to me like it has potential... if it's not super frustrating, super grindy and super real-money-y. You know, like the MyFaction we already have. We don't need another mode in an even remotely similar vein.

You know what would be great? If this was a straight rip-off of Street Fighter 6's World Tour with the online capability of their Battle Hub. Or even without the online, that works for me too. Actually ther latter might even be preferable, given the servers 2K chooses to work with.

Well, as a PC player you wont have access to the island or the island cosmetics. One of the worst things a game can do is split the player base and they did precisely just that.

Secondly, you mentioned that it looks like it has potential. Maybe it does, but keep your expectations low. When was the last time 2K had a consistently working online mode? It's 2025 and 2K hasn't had a consistently working online mode basically. . . ever.

Honestly, I have to agree. I am considering getting this game on sale if at all. I only play offline.

How bad do you think community creations will be impacted by the Island mode?

For me I'm a little concerned. I'd hate to see content locked behind a mode we can't access. I have a feeling that 2K could have thought of that by now, but I'm not that hopeful. I got a bad feeling for creation mode going forward and I really want to be wrong about that.

I think it'll be pretty bad, since you'll either have to grind like a madman for god knows how long, or spend like a hundred euros or more to unlock everything from there. That's not even counting any updates it may have through DLC. Considering you'd need to unlock it to download creations using things from the island, that makes it even worse. Let's say someone makes an updated Jey Uso attire, but it uses one of the shoes you need to unlock in the island... and it's one of the more expensive ones, but you just bought a different pair of shoes that was just as expensive to unlock the new Roman Reigns attire.

It's gonna block people from downloading stuff a lot, and some may feel forced to buy VC to unlock everything ASAP so that they're never stopped from downloading community creations.

Eventually I think they will release the mode on PC so we can grind for CAW parts. Until then the only CAWs that can use those parts will be hacked.
