Trying to decide - PC or PS5
I don't care much about the Island. I do want the platform that will have the most community creations. I know PC is with ps4 and Xbox One, and PS5 and Xbox Series are together.

I know PS5 will have way more people playing online than PC does. I have Mutliple PC handhelds (and a few powerful rigs with 4090 etc) as well like ROG Ally X, and I have PS Portal.

So, idk. I usually always play these games on PC the most. I'm sure it will run great on PS5.

What do you guys think? Would there be overall way more community creations on PC or PS5 route, and what other factors may make this an obvious choice?

its not no , its the same graphic fidelity but minus the island

Where are you getting that from? Because if we are getting the PS4/Xbone version it doesn't make sense for us to be getting the PS5/XSeries console graphics.

If we compare 2K24's PS4 and PS5 version you can see differences the most obvious being hair, less blurriness around tattoos, better skin details, and lightening effects. Oddly I can't find any good video comparisons between PC and PS5 for 2K24 which would be the most relevant game here.

But if look at 2K22 which the PC version was also old gen. https://youtu.be/qZcg3DWy-CM?si=ZDZZzh2R-n-wfKEI&t=33 A great example of how the PS5 looks better is here at 33 seconds. Look at Roman's tattoo. The PS5 is provides a much more clearer tattoo. Looking at this on my 4K OLED the difference is quite noticeable.

So it's clear the old gen version port to PC isn't the same quality as the current gen consoles.

*Edit* 53 seconds is another great example. In this you can see the hair quality difference a bit, the text of his name on whatever it is called on his arm is way more clear, better face details, and better lightening.
Looks very apples and oranges to me IMO.
have wwe2k24 both pc and ps5 i can say there is a dif in how the game looks it looks better on pc vs ps5 so say buy it on pc and idk if i get the new game sick of waterd down carp and how limited somethings are in game

I rarely boot my console anymore so, just to save time, I'll get it on PC again. Not a superpowerful one, but if you turn the crowd off there's no lag with max gfx.

If Island was actually something of value, I'd reconsider, but it seems it's not.

I could be wrong, but the big selling point for me is if I can play the game totally offline, no internet connection. The PC version of WWE 2K24 let you play completely offline, even though technically steam is DRM as well... even if you use it offline you have to check in after some time, but on console you can't play at all if you don't have your internet on... So I assume its the same in 2k25. PC you can play no internet, console has to be verified every time you turn the game on.

I've never had a problem playing a WWE 2K game offline on console. Some modes are online so they can't be used, but the offline modes have always been available.

Is it going to work on the Steam Deck? I hope it does since you can get deluxe on pc cheaper than standard on PS5.

I tested it on WWE 2k24... I turned off my internet and I was signed out of PSN,,,, I turned on WWE 2k24 and it would not start at all. Try it.

I highly doubt the PS5/XboxSeries is going to look at exact same as the PS4/Xbone/PC version. In-fact we can see that isn't the case in 2K24. The current generation of consoles does look better even more so around tattoos and hair. (Facial hair is way more apparent)

Then there are lightening effects. Which sadly the video doesn't cover. But if you are a CAW making lover like myself who likes to perfect not just looks but entrances. Lightening is very important for certain entrances both in game and real life. To me this is awful but meaningless to those who don't care about entrances.

If you plan on mostly playing on your mobile PC devices like the Deck or Ally than graphics and effects are likely not your main concern anyways. So go with the PC version.

If you are like myself that will often spend more time creating characters and trying to get everything about the character from entrance and looks to be as perfect as possible than PS5 will be the way to go.

lol that's because of the resolutions, nothing to do with the version

I can't believe they haven't added cross platform play yet, that's what has me nervous. actually playing people online.

I haven't touched this since WWE 2K20, are there any meaningful upgrades since. Also PC seems to get teh short end of the stick every single time too.

129.99€ edition, incredible..

If the last one you played is 2K20, then there is definitely a LOT of meaningful upgrades. Better roster, better gameplay (especially on 2k25 where they brought back chain wrestling), better graphics, and the fact that it's no longer a buggy piece of turd that is liable to hang or crash to desktop if you look at it funny. All the games that came out after 2k20 was a huge upgrade on 2k20.

Priorities dude. There's no real benefits other than the island, and if you don't care about that, it's all personal preference. And idk if you heard, they say the PC version is "last gen", but no 2k official can elaborate what that means. So take that with a grain of salt.

Amusing quote, many of us have pc's that make a ps5 like like a Spectrum!

So u guys think that it will be the same graphic? Also lights etc.
I do not care for the island thing there. I just dont want to get a Graphic downgrade.
I own 2k24 on PC and PS5 and can assure you tthe PC verison maxed out looks better and has zero graphical differences. It's the same this year, but like everyone is saying, no island. Which will 1,000% be a glorified VC sespool with insane amounts of grinding for trivial items that you'll likely never use anyways. It is also not a port of the last gen versions as there are noticeable hair and lighting differences on last gen consoles
