Last i checked last night the game was coming out on steam at 2 or 3 pm East Coast TIme.

when i got on this morning at 9 it was available to play, not sure if that means just pre-order people can play or if everyone can. But i agree for a game that has 43,000 people in there discord 5k at launch is not great but who knows what the day will bring.

yeah this game has to be free to play in my opinion. Making it free on playstation plus at release it's a bad sign they already understood that it wouldn't go well. A lot of games take a lot of money while remaining free to play(rocket league, moba games specially). If the game will still have few constant players, i hope they make it free to play, i was thinking of buying it but i could smell that it would have gone badly at launch

im waiting for the 6v6 mode i wont be buying the game until the mode is out. i wanna see what the player base is looking like by the time the mode releases. Considering its barely broke 6k players this game wont be around for very long. i give the game 12 months since theres a EULA on the front page of its steam page basically saying you don't own the game and they're just licensing it to you. they have the right to shut they game down whenever they want. 12 month is the legal minimum amount of time they have to have the game online for. So unless this upcoming 6V6 mode brings in a serious amount of players i wouldn't get comfortable on this game. because 6K players is embarrassing considering this is tied to the Harry Potter IP

It was originally going to be free to play. It was supposed to be a free to play 5V5 competitive game. Then the Suicide Squad game absolutely bombed and lost Warner Bros Games over $200 Million. So they needed a way to make that money back and decided to take Quidditch Champions and make it $30 because they thought well thats tied to an expensive IP lets squeeze it for every penny its worth. So the devs knew this was going to result in lower player numbers and had to throw all their hard work balancing the game for 5V5 gameplay out the window, make it 3v3 with bots and turn it into a casual experience.

The fact you have to agree to an EULA for the game stating that you dont actually own the game and theyre licensing it to you and can terminate its server whenever they want, screams "we have no faith in our product so when this inevitably fails and starts costing us money to keep online we'll be shutting it down" this game was supposed to be great and if you played back in October last year you'd have realised how great it was. This is just a shady cash grab of the back of Suicide Squad losing WBG over $200 Million.

I play it with my old ps4 is free along another famous game little nightmare II so steam charts can be quite off

EVERY new game has people begging for it to be free-to-play lmao, gaming is a luxury hobby, pirate it and play against bots if you must.
