i understand the complaint, cause its basically the company saying they have no intention to allow us to play even if multiplayer servers get shut down. That being said, i also don't think its right for them to allow people to pirate this game either.

Denuvo just needs to rework their verification system. it needs to be a daily thing, where Denuvo checks all your games on the account once a day, and that then opens the game up for offline throughout the day.

The game awards you for playing the game by giving you points to spend on ingame items or cosmetics both for singleplayer and multiplayer. All this need to be stored online to make sure fair play. I assume a server verify all you do is correct and awards you correct points.

However i do think they should have an offline version. But then no points should be awarded. Or atleast no points that can be used in multiplayer mode.

I think the main issue is that it's a game you're paying money upfront for. But you're paying to access it, not to own it. If the HP mobile game is any indication, there's a good chance they will take the game down and leave you with a game (and possibly microtransactions) you paid for but can't play.

hopefully they come up with a way to make offline play work in the near future

so instead of rewarding you for playing, like traditional single player games did just fine they are punishing you for not playing on a regular basis by telling you that you miss out on content, even though you payed for the game.

They could easily bring those season rewards back in the shop after a season end for you to buy with gold.
So you could always get the things you missed out on and still for free, just some gameplay.

yeah, bringing them back for a limited time, still forcing you to play whenever they decide.
games are made for entertainment, being on a timetable is not entertaining.
i payed for the deluxe version of the game, i should have the chance to unlock the content whenever i am ready for it. be that 2 days or 2 years from now.

And why are you so willing to doubt them? Shop has no reset timer, you're still thinking with the f2p store mentality that tries to nickle and dime everything.
Here you can unlock everything through gameplay, we can't say for sure right now that the shop will cycle.

I don't allow them to gatekeep anything, right now everything is unlockable through gameplay, you just think with the mentality that they'll try to use fomo, i'm giving them the benefit of the doubt right now, you're just negative.

you said you give them the benefit of the doubt, but i really wonder where that doubt comes from. the fact that there are seasons spells it out enough that they will gatekeep content behind timed access. there is no doubt in anyone who has played games before that this will be the case. that is what happens when developers "bless" you with seasons.

You get unlock those without spending gold on them and just through gameplay, It's funny how you say you don't want fomo but right now you're defending it trying to justify the "value" of season's rewards, when I just see those as early access to those cosmetics.

By putting them in the store afterwards for gold would prevent the fomo and would still mean you can unlock with just gameplay.

The doubt comes from all the companies that are out there trying to nickle and dime us, and it's still a WB games, there's reasons to be doubtful, but right now all I see is a game that could EASILY have paid MTX instead of full unlockable and they decided not to go that route, so yeah I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt right now.
And yes it could go very bad afterwards, with them adding real season pass for money etc ..., full mtx, we've all experienced it, i'm just saying right now if they stick to that direction i'm happy with it.
