I just connected my WB account to steam and it works now. https://account.wbgames.com/home ;make an account, go to connections and look for steam

Seems like companies are toning back on some of the launcher and third party stuff But if you havent already connected your account you can do so here https://account.wbgames.com/home
I connected mine like way back when shadow of mordor released so i didnt even notice

This happened to me too for a whole day. I connected it to the WB account manually in the profile settings on the WB site and it finally worked! Hope you get to play soon!

It always amuses when I see people coming straight to the steam forums to complain about things like this instead of reaching out to the game's support. I also love how in cases like this, most of the time it ends up being on the user's side and not the game side of things.

Also the steam store page literally states WB account Required.
